Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Baile-Herculane really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was anything but chill. First off, I’m supposed to meet a group at the train station on Strada Trandafirilor. Easy peasy, right? Wrong! I get there, and it’s like a scene from a bad rom-com. I’m lookin’ around, and no one’s there. I’m talkin’ crickets, folks. I’m about to lose it. I mean, c’mon, it’s Baile-Herculane! The thermal baths, the stunning mountains, and these people can’t even show up on time? Ugh! Finally, after what felt like an eternity, this group of tourists rolls in. They’re all excited, snapping pics of the old buildings on Strada Romana. I’m like, “Guys, we gotta move!” But they’re too busy oohing and aahing over the architecture. I get it, it’s beautiful, but c’mon! We’ve got places to see! So, we start our tour, and I’m trying to keep it together. We hit up the famous Hercules’ Baths. Man, the history there is wild! Did you know the Romans used to chill there? Like, they’d soak in those thermal waters and just relax. I mean, who wouldn’t want that? But then, I see this kid, right? He’s about to jump into the water with his shoes on. I’m like, “Dude, what are you doing?!” He just laughs and jumps in anyway. Kids, man. They’re a whole different breed. After that, we stroll down to the beautiful Cazino. It’s this old casino, and it’s got that vintage vibe. I’m trying to explain the history, but then this lady in the group starts talking about how she once won big in Vegas. I’m like, “Lady, we’re in Romania, not Sin City!” But whatever, I roll with it. Then, we head to the main square, and I’m feeling good. The vibe is nice, people are chillin’, and I’m thinking, “Finally, a moment of peace.” But nope! Outta nowhere, this street performer starts juggling fire. I’m not even kidding! Fire! I’m standing there, half impressed, half terrified. Like, what if he drops it? I’m not ready to be a witness to a fireball disaster in Baile-Herculane! And then, just when I thought it couldn’t get crazier, we decide to hike up to the Bigar Waterfall. It’s a bit of a trek, but the view is worth it. We’re climbing, and I’m sweating like a pig. I’m thinking, “Why do I do this for a living?” But then we reach the top, and wow! The waterfall is stunning. It’s like nature’s own shower, and I’m just standing there, soaking it all in. But then, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and some dude slipped and fell right into the bushes. I can’t help but laugh. I mean, c’mon! It’s like a scene from a comedy movie. He gets up, all covered in leaves, and just shrugs it off. Classic! As the day winds down, we head back to the center. I’m exhausted but happy. I love this place, man. Baile-Herculane has this energy. The mix of history, nature, and just pure randomness. It’s like a rollercoaster, and I’m here for it. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughter, and a bit of chaos. But that’s what makes it all worth it, right? Can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow!
