Man, lemme tell ya about my day in Bals. Wow, just wow. I woke up, sun blarin’ through my window on Strada 1 Decembrie. Thought it was gonna be chill, ya know? But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up the market on Strada Victoriei. You wouldn’t believe the chaos! People everywhere, like ants on a sugar rush. I’m just tryna grab some fresh fish for my raftin’ crew, right? But this lady, I swear, she elbowed me like we were in a boxing ring. I was like, “Chill, lady! It’s just fish!” But she didn’t care. She was on a mission. So, I finally snagged some decent trout. Not bad, not bad. But then, I’m walkin’ back, and boom! I trip over a cobblestone. Classic Bals, right? These streets are like a puzzle. I’m thinkin’, “Great, now I’m gonna be late.” I get to the river, and it’s packed. Like, where did all these people come from? I mean, it’s not like we’re in Bucharest or somethin’. But nah, Bals is poppin’ today. I see my buddy, Ion, tryin’ to untangle a mess of ropes. He’s cussin’ like a sailor. I laugh, but inside, I’m like, “Dude, you had one job!” Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs up to me. He’s like, “Mister, can you help me?” I’m thinkin’, “What now?” Turns out, he lost his toy boat in the river. I’m like, “Kid, I’m a raftsman, not a lifeguard!” But I can’t say no. So, I hop in the water, and it’s freezing! I’m flippin’ and floppin’ around, and finally, I grab the boat. The kid’s face lights up like it’s Christmas. I’m feelin’ all warm and fuzzy inside. But then, I look up, and there’s this old man on the bank, shoutin’ at me. “Hey! You’re gonna scare the fish away!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m not here for your fishin’ tournament!” But whatever, I just smile and wave. After that, I finally get to raftin’. The river’s flowin’ nice, and I’m cruisin’ down, feelin’ like a king. The sun’s settin’, and it’s beautiful. But then, I hit a snag. Literally. A tree branch pops up outta nowhere, and I’m like, “Oh no, not today!” I’m wrestlin’ with the oars, tryin’ to steer clear. Finally, I make it past, but I’m soaked. My clothes are stickin’ to me like a second skin. I’m laughin’ at myself, thinkin’, “This is what I signed up for.” As I’m headin’ back, I see the lights of Bals twinklin’. It’s a small town, but it’s got heart. The people, the streets, the river—it’s all part of me. I’m thinkin’ about how crazy today was. From fish fights to kid rescues, it’s never a dull moment. I get home, plop down on my couch, and just breathe. What a day, man. Bals, you wild. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
