Man, what a day! I swear, Baltati really knows how to throw a curveball. Woke up this mornin’ thinkin’ it’d be just another chill day on the water. You know, just me and my trusty raft, floatin’ down the Bahlui River. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit the streets of Strada Unirii, and it was like a freakin’ circus. People everywhere, honkin’ horns, and I’m just tryin’ to get to my spot by the river. I mean, c’mon, it’s not like I’m askin’ for much, right? Just a little peace and quiet. But nooo, gotta dodge tourists takin’ selfies like they’re in a freakin’ movie. Like, dude, it’s just a river, chill! So, I finally get to the riverbank, and guess what? My raft’s gone! I’m standin’ there like a lost puppy. I’m thinkin’, “Did someone steal my baby?” Turns out, my buddy Ion borrowed it without askin’. Classic Ion, right? Always takin’ my stuff. I was mad, but then I remembered he’s the one who helped me out last week when I got stuck in that mud by Strada Mare. So, I let it slide. Kinda. Then, I hop on my backup raft. Yeah, I got a backup. Don’t judge! It’s a little wobbly, but it’ll do. I push off, and man, the water’s cold! Like, “I just jumped into a freezer” cold. But hey, I’m a raftsman, I can handle it. I start paddlin’ down the river, and it’s actually kinda nice. The sun’s shinin’, birds are chirpin’, and I’m feelin’ good. But then, outta nowhere, this huge storm cloud rolls in. Like, seriously? I’m out here tryin’ to enjoy life, and Mother Nature’s like, “Not today, buddy!” The wind picks up, and I’m fightin’ to keep my raft steady. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just great. This is how I die. Drownin’ in the Bahlui.” I finally make it to the shore, soaked to the bone. I’m standin’ there, lookin’ like a drowned rat, when I see this cute girl walkin’ by. She’s laughin’ at me, and I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up.” But then she comes over and says, “You need a towel?” I’m like, “Uh, yeah, that’d be great.” Turns out, she’s from Strada Libertății, and we start talkin’. Her name’s Ana, and she’s got this smile that could light up the whole city. We end up grabbin’ a coffee at that little place on Strada Victoriei. I’m still drippin’ water everywhere, but I don’t even care. We’re laughin’, talkin’ about life, and I’m thinkin’, “Wow, maybe today ain’t so bad after all.” But then, just when I think it’s all good, I get a call from my boss. He’s like, “Where are you? We got a shipment comin’ in!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in the middle of a life-changing moment here!” But he doesn’t care. So, I rush back to the docks, and of course, the shipment’s late. Typical, right? By the time I get back, it’s dark, and I’m exhausted. But I can’t help but smile thinkin’ about Ana. Maybe I’ll see her again. Who knows? So yeah, that was my day in Baltati. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Just gotta roll with the punches. And maybe next time, I’ll remember to check the weather before I hit the river. Or at least bring a towel.
