Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a sharpener in Baluseni is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Strada Unirii. I’m like, “Great, another day of sharpening pencils and knives.” But little did I know, today was gonna be a wild ride. First off, I grab my gear and head out. The streets are buzzing, like always. Strada Mare is packed with folks. I swear, it’s like a parade of chaos. I’m dodging people left and right, and this one dude almost spills his coffee on me. I’m like, “Bro, watch it!” But he just gives me this look like I’m the problem. Ugh, people! So, I set up shop near the park by Strada Libertății. Perfect spot, right? Kids are playin’, old folks are chillin’, and I’m just there, sharpening away. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs up to me. He’s got this pencil that looks like it’s been through a war. I mean, it’s all chewed up and stuff. I’m like, “Dude, what happened to this thing?” He just shrugs. Kids, man. They don’t care. I sharpen that pencil like it’s my life’s mission. The kid’s eyes light up. “Wow, it’s like magic!” he says. I’m grinning ear to ear. That’s the kinda stuff that makes my day. But then, just as I’m feelin’ all warm and fuzzy, this lady comes up. She’s all frantic, waving a knife around. “My husband needs this sharpened NOW!” she yells. I’m like, “Lady, chill! I’m not a magician!” But I take it anyway. While I’m sharpening, I can’t help but think about how Baluseni is full of surprises. Like, just last week, I saw a cat on Strada Victoriei wearing a tiny hat. A HAT! Who does that? Only in Baluseni, I guess. Anyway, back to the knife. I’m focused, right? But then, I hear this loud crash. I look up, and it’s a car that just hit a pothole. Seriously, these potholes are like craters! I’m thinkin’, “Man, can’t we fix these things?” But no, we just keep driving over them like it’s a game. Finally, I finish the knife. The lady’s all smiles, and I’m like, “Great, now I can breathe.” But then, my buddy Ion shows up. He’s got this wild story about how he got chased by a dog on Strada 1 Decembrie. I’m laughin’ so hard, I almost drop my sharpener. “Dude, you gotta be quicker than that!” I tell him. As the sun starts settlin’, I pack up my stuff. I’m exhausted but happy. Baluseni’s got this vibe, ya know? It’s messy, loud, and full of life. I love it. I’m walkin’ home, thinkin’ about all the craziness. I pass by the old church on Strada Bisericii. It’s beautiful, man. Makes you stop and think. But then, I trip over a curb. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the sidewalk, and this old guy just walks by, shakes his head, and mutters something. I’m like, “Thanks for the help, dude!” But whatever, I get up, dust myself off, and keep movin’. By the time I get home, I’m beat. But I can’t help but smile. Baluseni, with all its quirks and chaos, is my kinda place. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe a cat in a bowtie? Who knows!
