Man, what a day! I swear, Berbesti really knows how to throw a curveball. Woke up late, as usual. Alarm? Nah, who needs that? So, I’m rushing through my tiny apartment on Strada 1 Decembrie, tripping over my own shoes. Classic me, right? Grabbed a coffee from that little place on Strada Mihai Viteazul. You know the one? The barista there is a legend. Always has a smile, even when I’m half-asleep and looking like a zombie. But today? Today, she was outta coffee! Like, what even?! I almost lost it. How do you run a coffee shop without coffee? So, I’m fueled by pure rage and a stale croissant. I hop on my bike, zooming down Strada Republicii. The streets are packed, as usual. Berbesti is like a beehive, buzzing with people. I swear, I nearly ran over a cat. Not just any cat, but the fat one that always lounges in the middle of the road. I mean, come on, dude! Move it or lose it! Then, outta nowhere, I get a call. It’s my buddy, Alex. He’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe what happened!” I’m thinking, “What now?” Turns out, he found a hidden gem of a bar on Strada Libertății. I’m intrigued. I mean, I love a good drink, especially after the morning I had. So, I pedal over there, dodging potholes like a pro. Berbesti’s streets are like a minefield. I swear, if I had a leu for every bump, I’d be rich. Finally, I get to the bar. It’s this cozy little spot, all rustic vibes and fairy lights. I walk in, and it’s packed! Everyone’s laughing, music’s blasting. I’m like, “Okay, this is more like it!” I grab a drink, and just as I’m about to chill, the power goes out. Seriously?! The whole place goes dark. People are freaking out, but I’m just laughing. I mean, it’s Berbesti, right? You gotta roll with the punches. So, we all start singing some random songs. It’s a vibe. After a while, the lights flicker back on. Everyone cheers! I’m feeling good, but then I get a text. It’s work. They need me to come in. Ugh, the life of an operator, am I right? So, I chug my drink and head out. On my way back, I take a detour through Parcul Central. It’s beautiful there, especially in the evening. The trees are lit up, and there’s this fountain that always makes me feel like a kid again. I sit for a minute, just soaking it all in. But then, I see a couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I can’t help but eavesdrop. Turns out, they’re fighting over where to eat. Classic Berbesti drama! Finally, I get to work. It’s chaos. Phones ringing, people yelling. I dive in, trying to keep my cool. But then, my computer crashes. Of course! Just my luck. I’m about to lose it, but I take a deep breath. I mean, it’s just another day in Berbesti, right? By the end of the shift, I’m exhausted but happy. I head back home, thinking about all the craziness. Berbesti is wild, but it’s my wild. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of an operator, living it up in this crazy little city.
