Man, what a day! I swear, Berzunti really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I’m a forester, right? You’d think I’d be chillin’ in the woods, but nah, today was all about the city life. First off, I wake up late. Like, super late. Alarm? What alarm? I jump outta bed, throw on my boots, and head out. I’m thinkin’ I’ll grab a coffee at that little spot on Strada 1 Decembrie. You know the one? The barista there is a legend. But guess what? They’re outta coffee! Like, how do you run outta coffee in the morning? I’m already fuming. So, I’m walking down Strada Mihai Viteazul, and I see this street performer. Dude’s playing the accordion like he’s in a movie or something. I stop for a sec, and it’s actually kinda nice. I toss him a couple of lei. He gives me this huge grin, and I’m like, “Okay, Berzunti, you’re not all bad.” But then, bam! I step in a puddle. Not just any puddle, but the biggest, muddiest one ever. My boots are soaked. I’m cursing under my breath, thinking about how I should’ve just stayed in the forest. I finally make it to the park near Strada Călărași. It’s a nice spot, but today it’s packed. Kids are running around, dogs are barking, and I’m just trying to find a quiet bench. I sit down, take a deep breath, and then—boom! A frisbee hits me right in the face. I’m like, “Really?!” The kid who threw it just laughs and runs off. I’m ready to chase him down, but I just sit there, shaking my head. After that, I decide to check out the local market on Strada Tineretului. I love that place! Fresh veggies, homemade jams, and all that good stuff. I’m browsing, and I spot this jar of honey. I’m a sucker for honey, so I grab it. But then, I overhear this lady complaining about the prices. She’s going on and on, and I’m like, “Lady, it’s honey, not gold!” I finally get my honey and head out. But wait, there’s more! I bump into an old buddy from high school. We start chatting, and he’s telling me about his new job. I’m happy for him, but then he asks about my job. I’m like, “Yeah, I’m a forester. You know, trees and stuff.” He looks at me like I’m crazy. “You still do that?” Like, what’s wrong with loving trees? Anyway, I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, so I suggest we grab a drink at that bar on Strada Unirii. It’s a cozy spot, and I could use a cold one. We sit down, and I order a beer. He gets some fancy cocktail. I’m like, “Dude, you’re not in a club. Just get a beer!” We’re laughing, reminiscing about the good ol’ days, when suddenly the power goes out. Just like that! The whole place goes dark. People are freaking out, and I’m just sitting there, chuckling. “Welcome to Berzunti, folks!” I shout. Everyone starts laughing, and it lightens the mood. After a while, the lights come back on, and we finish our drinks. I’m feeling good, but it’s getting late. I gotta head back home. I walk back through the streets, and it’s kinda magical at night. The lights, the sounds, the vibe. Berzunti has this charm, you know? As I’m walking, I think about my day. It was a rollercoaster. From coffee disasters to muddy boots, to reconnecting with an old friend. I love this city, even when it drives me nuts. So yeah, that was my day in Berzunti. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in the life of a forester, I guess!
