Wow, what a day! Seriously, Bistrita, you’ve got me all kinds of twisted. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Strada Dornei for breakfast. I’m craving some good ol’ mămăligă. I mean, who doesn’t love that golden goodness? But guess what? The café’s packed! Like, I’m talking standing-room-only. I’m just there, staring at the menu like it’s gonna magically make a table appear. Ugh! Finally, I snag a spot. I order my mămăligă, and while I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. “You never listen!” “I can’t believe you did that!” I’m just trying to enjoy my breakfast, people! Can’t a writer get some peace? Then, boom! My mămăligă arrives. It’s glorious. I take a bite, and it’s like heaven. But then, I spill some on my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like I’ve been in a food fight. Classic me, right? After that, I decide to stroll down Strada Cuza Vodă. It’s a nice street, full of life. I’m feeling good, despite the shirt situation. I pass by the Bistrita River, and it’s so pretty. The water’s sparkling, and I’m like, “Wow, nature is dope.” But then, I see a bunch of ducks. And they’re just quacking away, like they own the place. I swear one of them looked at me funny. So, I keep walking, and I bump into this street performer. He’s playing the violin, and it’s beautiful. I’m standing there, totally vibing, when suddenly, a pigeon decides my head is a good landing spot. I freak out! I’m flailing my arms like a maniac. The violinist stops, and everyone’s staring. I’m mortified. Thanks, Bistrita, for the unexpected drama. Next, I head to the Bistrita Cultural Center. I’m all about that art life, you know? But guess what? It’s closed for renovations. Of course it is! I’m like, “Why do you do this to me, Bistrita?” I just wanted to soak in some culture. Instead, I’m left wandering around like a lost puppy. Then, I decide to hit up the local market on Strada 1 Decembrie. It’s bustling! Fresh fruits, veggies, and all the local goodies. I’m in heaven again. I grab some plums, and they’re juicy and sweet. But then, I see this guy trying to haggle over a cucumber. A cucumber! Dude, just buy it! It’s not that serious! After the market, I’m feeling a bit better. I head to the park near the Bistrita Fortress. It’s a nice spot to chill. I plop down on a bench, and just as I’m about to take a breather, a kid runs by and kicks a soccer ball right into my face. Ouch! I’m like, “Really, kid?!” But he just laughs and runs off. Kids these days, man. As the sun starts to set, I’m walking back through the city. The streets are lit up, and Bistrita looks magical. I’m feeling all the feels. Happy, angry, surprised—like a rollercoaster of emotions. I stop by a little bakery on Strada Mihai Eminescu. I grab a pastry, and it’s the cherry on top of this wild day. Finally, I head home, exhausted but grateful. Bistrita, you’ve thrown me for a loop today. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. You’re quirky, chaotic, and full of surprises. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
