Man, what a day! I swear, Bixad really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to rush to the Bixad train station. You know, the one near Strada 1 Decembrie? Yeah, that place. I’m sprinting, dodging people like I’m in some weird obstacle course. I get there, and guess what? The train’s late. Classic. I’m standing there, checking my watch, thinking, “Great, just great.” Finally, the train rolls in. I hop on, and it’s packed. Like, sardines in a can packed. I’m squished between this dude who smells like he bathed in garlic and a lady with a baby who’s crying like it’s the end of the world. I’m trying to focus on my interpreting gig, but all I can think is, “Why did I choose this job?” So, I get to the venue, right? It’s on Strada Libertății. Beautiful place, but I’m already late. I rush in, and the event is in full swing. People are chatting, laughing, and I’m just trying to catch up. I’m signing like a madman, trying to keep up with the speakers. One guy starts talking about some deep stuff—like, existential crisis level. I’m there, signing away, and I’m like, “Dude, chill. We’re just here for a workshop!” Then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. I mean, seriously? In Bixad? It’s like the universe is testing me. Everyone’s in panic mode, and I’m just standing there, thinking, “Great, now I’m a sign language interpreter in the dark.” I start signing to the crowd, trying to keep them calm. “It’s okay, folks! We got this!” But inside, I’m like, “What the heck do I do now?” After a few minutes, the lights flicker back on. Phew! But then, the speaker decides to make a joke about the power outage. I’m trying to sign it, but I’m laughing so hard I can barely keep it together. I mean, who jokes about a blackout? Only in Bixad, right? So, the workshop wraps up, and I’m feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, relieved, and a bit exhausted. I step outside, and it’s a beautiful evening. The sun’s setting over the hills, and I’m like, “Okay, maybe today wasn’t so bad.” But wait! There’s more! I decide to grab a bite at that little place on Strada Mihai Viteazul. You know the one? The one with the best mici in town? I order, and while I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m just trying to enjoy my food, but they’re making it hard. I’m thinking, “Can’t we just have one peaceful moment in Bixad?” Finally, I get my food, and it’s glorious. I take a bite, and it’s like heaven. I’m savoring it when I see a kid trip and spill his ice cream all over the sidewalk. I can’t help but laugh. Poor kid, but come on! It’s like a scene from a movie. As I’m finishing up, I get a call for another gig. They need me ASAP. I’m like, “Seriously? Can’t a person catch a break?” But hey, it’s Bixad. You gotta roll with the punches. So, I hop on my bike and zoom through the streets. The wind’s in my hair, and I’m feeling alive. I pass by the park, and there’s a group of kids playing soccer. They’re yelling and laughing, and I can’t help but smile. Finally, I get to the next event, and it’s a whole different vibe. People are excited, and I’m ready to dive in. I’m signing, laughing, and just enjoying the chaos of it all. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. Bixad, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. I wouldn’t trade this wild ride for anything. Here’s to more unexpected days!
