Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Blaj, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to rush to the street of 1 Decembrie. I mean, who doesn’t love a good stroll down memory lane? But nooo, I had a meeting with this client who was late. Like, come on! I’m standing there, looking like a lost puppy, and all I can think is, “Dude, I got places to be!” Finally, this guy shows up, all flustered. He’s like, “Sorry, traffic!” I’m like, “In Blaj? What traffic?” But whatever, we get to work. I’m translating like a pro, but then he starts talking about his cat. I mean, I love cats, but c’mon! I’m here to work, not to hear about Mr. Whiskers’ latest antics. After that, I head over to Strada Horea. It’s a nice area, but the coffee shop there? Ugh, don’t even get me started. I order a cappuccino, and they give me this tiny cup. I’m like, “Is this a joke?” I need caffeine, not a shot glass! So, I’m sitting there, trying to enjoy my overpriced coffee, when I see this street performer. He’s juggling and doing backflips. I’m like, “Dude, I can barely walk straight!” But he’s killing it, and the crowd’s loving it. I’m laughing, clapping, and then—BAM! He drops a flaming baton. Fire everywhere! People are screaming, and I’m just standing there, half in shock, half in awe. Then, I get a call. It’s my buddy from the other side of town. He’s like, “Yo, you gotta come to the park!” I’m thinking, “What park? There are like a million parks in Blaj!” But he’s insistent, so I’m off to Parcul Avram Iancu. When I get there, it’s a whole vibe. Kids are running around, people are picnicking, and there’s this old dude playing the accordion. I’m feeling the good energy, you know? But then, my buddy shows up with this ridiculous hat. I’m talking a giant sombrero. I can’t even. We’re laughing, taking selfies, and then—outta nowhere—this storm rolls in. Like, one minute it’s sunny, the next it’s pouring. We’re running for cover, and I’m just thinking, “Blaj weather is wild!” So, we duck into this little pub on Strada Mihai Viteazul. It’s cozy, and the vibe is chill. I order a palincă, because why not? It’s Blaj, right? My buddy’s still wearing that hat, and the bartender’s giving us weird looks. I’m like, “Dude, it’s a fashion statement!” After a few drinks, we’re feeling good. We start talking about life, dreams, and all that deep stuff. I’m getting all emotional, and then my buddy says something that cracks me up. He’s like, “If I were a fruit, I’d be a banana.” I’m dying laughing. Like, what even? The night ends with us stumbling out of the pub, still laughing, and I’m just grateful for days like this. Blaj is crazy, but it’s my kind of crazy. I love the streets, the people, the unexpected moments. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups, downs, and a giant sombrero. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
