Man, what a day! I woke up in Botoroaga, and lemme tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m a Kisen, right? So, I’m all about that vibe, but today? Pffft, it was like the universe was throwing curveballs left and right. So, I’m chillin’ on Strada Principală, sippin’ my coffee, and boom! This pigeon decides my head is a landing pad. Like, seriously? I’m just tryna enjoy my morning. I swear, that bird looked at me like, “What’s up, dude?” I was like, “Not you, bro!” Then, I head over to the market on Strada Măgurii. It’s packed, as usual. I’m dodging people like I’m in some kinda video game. I see my buddy Ion selling his homemade jams. He’s always bragging about his “secret recipe.” I’m like, “Dude, it’s just fruit and sugar!” But whatever, I buy a jar. It’s good, but not life-changing. Outta nowhere, this old lady starts yelling at me. I thought I was in trouble or something. Turns out, she just wanted to know where the nearest bus stop is. I point her to Strada Călărași, and she’s like, “You’re a good kid!” I’m 30, lady! But hey, I’ll take the compliment. After that, I’m walking down Strada Tineretului, and I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s killing it. I stop to listen, and suddenly, a crowd forms. People are dancing, laughing, and I’m just vibin’. It’s one of those moments where you forget everything else. I even joined in, doing my best (and worst) dance moves. But then, outta nowhere, this guy bumps into me. I spill my coffee all over my shirt. I’m fuming! Like, come on, man! I’m trying to enjoy life here! I turn around, ready to give him a piece of my mind, but he’s just a kid, maybe 12. He looks up at me with these big eyes and says, “Sorry, mister!” I can’t stay mad. I just laugh it off. Kids, man. They have a way of making you rethink your anger. Later, I decide to hit up the park near Strada Florilor. It’s my go-to spot for chillin’. I plop down on a bench, and guess what? I see a couple having a picnic. They’re all lovey-dovey, and I’m like, “Ugh, get a room!” But then, they offer me some of their food. I’m like, “Okay, maybe you’re not so bad.” We end up chatting, and they’re super cool. Turns out, they’re from Bucharest, just visiting. As the sun starts to set, I’m walking back home, and I can’t help but feel grateful. Botoroaga has its quirks, but it’s my home. The streets, the people, the chaos—it’s all part of the charm. I pass by the old church on Strada Bisericii, and it hits me. This place is full of stories, just like mine. So yeah, my day was a wild ride. From pigeon attacks to dance-offs, Botoroaga never fails to surprise me. I’m exhausted but happy. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe I’ll finally get that pigeon back. Just kidding! Or am I?
