Man, what a day! I woke up in Cluj-Napoca, ready to tackle some carpentry. You know, just another day in the life of a wood-slinger. But nah, today was anything but normal. First off, I hit the streets of Cluj, and lemme tell ya, the traffic on Bulevardul 21 Decembrie was a mess! Like, seriously, who taught these drivers how to drive? I swear, I saw a guy on a bike almost get flattened by a tram. I was like, “Dude, you’re not in a video game!” So, I finally made it to my workshop on Strada Horea. It’s a cozy little spot, filled with sawdust and the smell of fresh wood. I was pumped to start working on this custom table for some fancy restaurant in the city. But then, bam! My saw decided to take a vacation. Just stopped working. I was like, “Are you kidding me?!” I spent an hour trying to fix that thing. I even yelled at it. “C’mon, you piece of junk! I need you!” But it just sat there, mocking me. I was fuming. I mean, I could’ve been out enjoying a beer at some terrace on Piața Unirii, but nooo, I’m stuck here wrestling with a stubborn saw. Finally, I got it working. Thank the carpentry gods! I started cutting the wood, and it felt good. The rhythm of the saw, the smell of the wood, it was bliss. But then, outta nowhere, my buddy Mihai shows up. He’s always got some wild story. Today, he tells me he saw a guy dressed as Dracula on Strada Eroilor. I mean, c’mon, it’s not Halloween yet! We laughed about it for a bit, but then he dropped the bomb. “Hey, you wanna go grab a beer later?” I was like, “Dude, I’m knee-deep in sawdust here!” But then I thought, why not? Life’s too short, right? So, I finished the table, and it turned out pretty sweet. I was proud, like a dad watching his kid score a goal. I loaded it up and headed to the restaurant. The streets were buzzing. People everywhere, the vibe was electric. I passed by the Cluj-Napoca Botanical Garden, and it was looking gorgeous. Flowers everywhere, people taking selfies. I thought, “Man, I should’ve brought my camera.” When I got to the restaurant, the owner was stoked. He was like, “This is perfect!” I felt like a rockstar. But then, as I was leaving, I tripped over a chair. Classic me, right? I fell, and everyone turned to look. I just laughed it off, but inside, I was dying. After that, I met up with Mihai at a bar on Strada Napoca. We ordered some beers, and he kept telling me about that Dracula guy. I was like, “Dude, you’re obsessed!” But it was hilarious. We ended up talking about everything—life, love, and the best places to eat in Cluj. The night went on, and I felt so alive. The city was lit up, and the vibe was just right. We even bumped into some friends at a pub near the Central Park. It was one of those nights where you just forget about everything. But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring. Like, seriously, buckets of rain. We ran for cover, laughing like idiots. I was soaked, but I didn’t care. I was with my friends, and that’s what mattered. By the end of the night, I was exhausted but happy. I walked home through the streets of Cluj, the rain finally easing up. I thought about how crazy the day was. From fixing my saw to tripping in front of a restaurant, it was a rollercoaster. Cluj-Napoca, you never fail to surprise me. I love this city, with all its quirks and craziness. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
