Man, what a day! I woke up in Constanta, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m a linguist, right? So, I’m all about words and stuff. But today? Today was all about chaos. So, I’m chillin’ at my fave café on Bdul Mamaia, sippin’ my coffee, and boom! This seagull swoops down and tries to steal my croissant. Like, dude, back off! I’m not sharing my breakfast with you! I swear, those birds are like little thieves. I mean, who knew seagulls could be so aggressive? After that, I decided to take a stroll along the beach. The sun was shining, and the waves were crashing. It was beautiful, but then I saw this group of tourists trying to take a selfie. They were blocking the whole path! I’m like, “C’mon, guys, move it along!” But no, they were too busy posing. I mean, how many pics do you need? Then I hit up the old town, you know, the historic part. The streets are so narrow, and the buildings are all colorful. I love it! But I got lost. Like, seriously lost. I ended up on Strada Traian, and I was like, “Where am I?” I thought I’d never find my way back. But then I saw the Constanta Casino in the distance. That place is iconic! It’s like a ghost from the past, all crumbling but still so majestic. I finally found my way to the Great Mahmoud Mosque. It’s stunning, man! The architecture is on point. I was just standing there, soaking it all in, when this random guy starts chatting me up. He’s like, “You speak English?” I’m like, “Yeah, obviously!” And then he starts telling me about his life. I mean, I didn’t sign up for a therapy session, but hey, I’m a linguist, so I listened. But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring! I’m talking torrential downpour. I had to duck into a little shop on Strada Farului. The owner was super nice, offered me a towel. I was soaked, looking like a drowned rat. But hey, at least I got to practice my Romanian. After the rain, the streets were all shiny and fresh. I decided to grab some street food. You know, the good stuff! I found this little stand selling langosi. OMG, they were so good! I devoured one in like two minutes. I was so happy, I could’ve danced! But then, I got a bit too excited and spilled some sauce on my shirt. Ugh! I was like, “Great, now I look like a mess.” But whatever, it’s Constanta! Who cares? As the day wrapped up, I headed to the beach again. The sunset was insane! The sky was all pink and orange. I just sat there, thinking about how crazy the day was. I mean, from seagull attacks to getting lost, to random chats with strangers. I love this city. It’s full of surprises. You never know what’s gonna happen next. And honestly, that’s what makes it so special. So, here’s to more days like this in Constanta! Cheers!
