Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Corcova, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to get ready. You know, the whole geisha thing—makeup, kimono, the works. I was feeling cute, like a snack, ya know? But then, I stepped outside on Strada Principală, and bam! The heat hit me like a ton of bricks. Ugh, why is it always so hot here? I swear, Corcova’s sun is out to get me. So, I’m walking down the street, and I see this cute little café on Strada Tineretului. I thought, “Why not grab a coffee?” I go in, and the barista is super nice. I order a cappuccino, and while I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m just standing there, sipping my drink, thinking, “Dude, get a room!” Finally, I get my coffee, and I’m feeling all fancy. But then, I spill it all over my kimono. Like, seriously? I was so mad! I mean, I just got this thing cleaned! I wanted to scream, but instead, I just laughed. What else can you do, right? After that little disaster, I decided to stroll down to Parcul Central. It’s my fave spot in Corcova. The trees are so pretty, and there’s this little pond where the ducks hang out. I love ducks. They’re like the chillest animals ever. So, I’m sitting there, just vibing, when I see this kid feeding the ducks. He’s throwing bread like he’s trying to win a medal or something. I couldn’t help but giggle. Kids are hilarious. But then, outta nowhere, this old man comes up to me. He’s like, “You’re a geisha, right?” I’m thinking, “Wow, you’re observant.” He starts telling me about his life, how he used to be a painter, and I’m just nodding along. I mean, I love a good story, but dude, I didn’t sign up for a life lesson today! After that, I needed a break. So, I headed to Strada Florilor. There’s this little shop that sells the best pastries. I got a slice of cozonac, and OMG, it was heavenly! I was in my happy place, just munching away, when I noticed a street performer. He was playing the accordion, and honestly, he was terrible. But I couldn’t stop watching. It was so bad, it was good. I was cracking up, and people were throwing coins at him. I mean, he was making bank for being awful! Then, I got a text from my friend. She was like, “Let’s meet at the fountain on Strada Libertății.” I was like, “Sure, why not?” So, I rushed over, and when I got there, she was already there, looking fabulous. We hugged, and I told her about my day. She laughed so hard at my coffee spill. I mean, it was funny, but come on! We decided to grab dinner at this cute little place nearby. The food was amazing, but the service? Not so much. We waited forever! I was getting hangry, and you do NOT wanna see me when I’m hangry. Finally, our food arrives, and it’s worth the wait. I had sarmale, and it was like a hug in a bowl. After dinner, we walked around, just chatting and enjoying the night. Corcova at night is magical. The lights, the sounds, everything feels alive. We ended up at the old church on Strada Bisericii. It’s so beautiful, and I just stood there, taking it all in. But then, out of nowhere, it started to rain. Like, pouring rain! We ran for cover, laughing like crazy. I mean, what a way to end the day, right? So, we ducked into a little shop, and the owner was super nice. He offered us some hot tea, and I was like, “Yes, please!” So, there I was, soaked but happy, sipping tea with my best friend in Corcova. I realized that even with all the craziness, today was one for the books. I mean, who needs a boring day when you can have a wild ride like this? Anyway, I’m home now, and I’m exhausted. But I wouldn’t trade today for anything. Corcova, you’ve got my heart, even with your crazy streets and unexpected rain. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
