Man, what a day! I swear, Cotnari really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Strada Principala. You know, the main drag. I’m just vibin’, grabbin’ a coffee from that little place, Cafe Cotnari. Best brew in town, no cap. But then, outta nowhere, this dude on a bike zooms past me. Almost spills my coffee! Like, bro, chill! It’s not a race! So, I’m sippin’ my coffee, tryin’ to calm down. Then I see this old lady, bless her heart, trying to cross the street. Strada Calea Moldovei, I think? Anyway, cars are zooming by like it’s the Indy 500. I’m like, “Someone help her!” But nah, everyone’s too busy honking and yelling. I jump up, rush over, and help her. She’s all smiles, and I’m feelin’ like a hero. But then, I get back to my coffee, and it’s GONE. Some kid swiped it! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I chase after him, but he’s too quick. I’m not even mad, just impressed. Kid’s got skills. Next, I decide to hit up the market on Strada Scolii. You know, the one with all the fresh fruits and veggies? I’m lookin’ for some good stuff. I find these amazing cherries. I’m talkin’ juicy, sweet, the whole shebang. I’m about to buy a bunch when this lady cuts in front of me. Like, excuse me?! I’m about to lose it. But I take a deep breath. “It’s just cherries,” I tell myself. After that, I stroll down to the park near the Cotnari Monastery. It’s peaceful there, ya know? I sit on a bench, just chillin’. But then, this group of kids starts playing soccer nearby. They’re loud, but it’s cute. I can’t help but smile. One kid kicks the ball too hard, and it comes flying at me! I duck just in time. Phew! Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, heavy rain. I’m soaked in seconds. I’m laughing, though. “Of course, it rains now!” I run for cover under a tree, and I’m just standing there, drenched. I see a couple of locals laughing at me. I wave, like, “Yeah, I’m the wet one here!” Finally, the rain stops, and I’m like, “Okay, let’s wrap this day up.” I head back to Strada Vasile Alecsandri, where there’s this little tavern. I order some sarmale and a glass of Cotnari wine. Best decision ever! The food is bomb, and the wine? Oh man, it’s like a hug in a glass. As I’m eating, I think about the day. It was wild. Ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Cotnari, you crazy! You keep me on my toes. I finish my meal, pay the bill, and head home, still smiling. What a day, huh? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
