Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a bodyguard in Curtici is like being in a wild movie. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’, birds chirpin’, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I’m cruisin’ down Strada 1 Decembrie, and I’m already late. My client, some big shot from Bucharest, is in town for a meeting. I’m like, “Dude, can’t you just Zoom?” But nah, he wants to meet at that café on Strada Libertății. Classic. So I pull up, and the vibe is off. I mean, it’s Curtici, but today it feels like a scene from a thriller. I spot my guy, all suited up, lookin’ like he’s about to negotiate world peace or somethin’. But then, outta nowhere, this dude bumps into me. I’m like, “Watch it, bro!” Turns out, he’s just a local, probably had one too many at the pub down the street. Anyway, I’m tryin’ to keep my cool, but then I see a couple of sketchy characters hangin’ around. You know the type—hoodies, shifty eyes. My instincts kick in. I’m like, “Not today, fellas.” I keep my eyes peeled while my client sips his overpriced coffee. Then, bam! A commotion breaks out. Some guy starts yellin’ about a stolen phone. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need.” My client’s lookin’ nervous, and I’m like, “Dude, chill. It’s just a phone.” But he’s all, “What if they come for me next?” I’m tryin’ to reassure him, but inside, I’m like, “Man, this is a small town. What’s the worst that could happen?” But then I remember the last time I thought that. Not good. So, I decide to take a stroll down Strada Tineretului. It’s a nice street, ya know? Trees, some cute shops. I’m hopin’ to clear my head. But then I see a kid on a bike, and he’s zoomin’ past. I’m like, “Dude, slow down!” But he just laughs and speeds off. Kids these days, right? I finally get back to my client, and he’s still jittery. I’m like, “Let’s get outta here.” We hop in the car, and I’m thinkin’ we’re in the clear. But nope! Traffic on Strada Principală is a nightmare. I’m talkin’ standstill. I’m about to lose it. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy from the force. He’s like, “Yo, you good?” I’m like, “Not really, man. Just stuck in traffic.” He laughs and says, “Welcome to Curtici!” I can’t help but chuckle. Finally, we make it to the meeting spot. It’s this old building, kinda charming, but also kinda creepy. I’m standin’ outside, watchin’ the door like a hawk. My client goes in, and I’m left with my thoughts. I start thinkin’ about how crazy this day’s been. I mean, it’s just another day in Curtici, but it feels like a rollercoaster. I’m feelin’ a mix of anger, anxiety, and a bit of excitement. Then, I see those sketchy guys again. They’re loiterin’ around, and I’m like, “Not on my watch.” I step closer, and they scatter like roaches. Ha! That felt good. After what feels like an eternity, my client finally comes out. He’s all smiles, and I’m like, “What happened in there?” He’s like, “Let’s just say, I sealed the deal.” I’m happy for him, but also thinkin’, “Dude, let’s get outta here before the drama starts again.” We head back, and I’m just relieved. I mean, Curtici can be a wild ride, but it’s home. I love the streets, the people, even the chaos. It’s all part of the charm. As I finally kick back at home, I can’t help but laugh. What a day, right? Just another day in the life of a bodyguard in Curtici. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
