Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Doljesti, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m heading down Strada Principală, and I swear, the traffic is a nightmare. Like, who taught these drivers how to drive? I’m stuck behind this old dude in a rusty Dacia, going 20 km/h. C’mon, man! We’re not in a race, but let’s at least keep it moving! Finally, I get to the office on Strada Călărași. I’m feeling all pumped, ready to tackle the day. But then, boom! My phone buzzes. It’s my boss. “We need to talk about the project.” Ugh, not this again. I mean, can’t we just have one day without drama? So, I’m in the meeting room, and my coworker, Andreea, starts talking about the budget. She’s all serious, and I’m just sitting there, trying not to roll my eyes. Like, we all know the budget is tighter than my jeans after the holidays. But she’s going on and on, and I’m like, “Can we just get to the point?” Then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm goes off! I’m thinking, “Great, just what I needed.” We all pile out onto Strada Muncii, and I’m trying to keep my cool. But inside, I’m like, “This is ridiculous!” Turns out, it was just a drill. A DRILL! I could’ve been at the café on Strada Tineretului, sipping a coffee instead of standing outside like a lost puppy. After that chaos, I decide to grab lunch. I hit up my fave spot, the little bistro on Strada Unirii. The food there is bomb! I order the mici, and let me tell you, they’re the best in Doljesti. I’m chowing down, feeling a bit better, when I overhear this couple arguing. Like, seriously, can’t you take it somewhere else? But then, something funny happens. The waiter trips and spills a whole plate of food on the guy’s lap! I’m dying laughing. The couple stops arguing, and the guy’s just sitting there, covered in food. It’s like a scene from a movie. I mean, who needs drama when you have free entertainment, right? After lunch, I head back to the office, and guess what? My computer crashes. Just my luck! I’m sitting there, staring at the screen like it owes me money. I’m about to lose it. But then, I remember my buddy, Mihai, who’s a tech whiz. I call him up, and he’s like, “Dude, just restart it.” I’m like, “Why didn’t I think of that?” Finally, the day winds down. I’m walking home, and the sunset over Doljesti is gorgeous. The sky’s all pink and orange, and I’m feeling a bit reflective. I think about how crazy today was. I mean, one minute I’m stressed, the next I’m laughing my head off. As I stroll down Strada Florilor, I can’t help but smile. Doljesti may be wild sometimes, but it’s home. And even on the craziest days, it’s the little moments that make it all worth it. So yeah, that was my day. Intense, emotional, and full of surprises. Just another day in Doljesti, I guess!
