Man, today was a wild ride in Duda! Like, seriously, I can’t even. Woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it decided to take a day off. So, I’m sprinting down Strada Mareșal Averescu, dodging pigeons like they’re ninjas. I swear, those birds have it out for me. First stop? Café Duda. Gotta get my caffeine fix, right? I order a cappuccino, and the barista, this dude with a killer mustache, spills it all over the counter. I’m like, “Bro, I needed that!” But he just laughs it off. I mean, come on! I’m not here for a coffee shower. After that, I hit up the market on Strada 1 Decembrie. It’s buzzing! Fresh fruits, veggies, and the smell of baked goods. I grab some plums—best in the city, no cap. But then, this old lady starts haggling with the vendor. I’m just standing there, watching this epic showdown. She’s like, “I’ll give you two lei and a smile!” And he’s like, “Nah, lady, I need cash!” Classic Duda moment, right? So, I’m feeling good, plums in hand, when I decide to stroll down Strada Libertății. The sun’s shining, people are laughing, and I’m just vibing. But then, outta nowhere, this kid on a bike zooms past me and nearly takes me out! I’m like, “Dude, chill! This ain’t the Tour de France!” Next, I head to the park near Bulevardul Republicii. It’s packed with families, dogs, and a bunch of kids playing football. I sit on a bench, munching on my plums, when I overhear this couple arguing. She’s like, “You never listen!” and he’s like, “I’m listening now!” I’m just trying to enjoy my snack, but their drama is more entertaining than a soap opera. Then, I decide to check out the local art scene. There’s this gallery on Strada Unirii. I walk in, and it’s all abstract stuff. I’m standing there, pretending to understand art, when this guy next to me goes, “What’s that supposed to be?” I’m like, “Dude, I have no idea. Looks like a paint explosion.” We both crack up. But then, the mood shifts. I step outside, and it starts pouring. Like, seriously? I didn’t sign up for a Duda monsoon! I dash for cover under a café awning, and guess who I see? The barista from earlier! He’s just chilling, sipping a coffee. I’m like, “You’re not even gonna help me out?” He just shrugs. Finally, the rain stops, and I’m soaked but alive. I decide to head home, but not before grabbing a slice of pizza from that place on Strada Tineretului. Best pizza ever! I’m devouring it, and this guy walks by, looks at me, and says, “You’re living your best life, huh?” I just nod, mouth full of cheese. So, I get home, and I’m just like, “What a day!” Duda really knows how to throw a curveball. I’m exhausted but happy. I mean, who knew a city could be so chaotic yet so charming? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
