Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Filiasi is a wild ride. I woke up, and the sun was blazin’ through my window like it was tryin’ to roast me alive. I’m like, “Chill, sun! I’m not a piece of bacon!” Anyway, I had a lecture to prep, but first, coffee. Always coffee. So, I hit up this little café on Strada 1 Decembrie. The barista, a dude named Andrei, was super chill. He’s like, “You want the usual?” I’m like, “Dude, I don’t even know what my usual is!” But I went with a cappuccino. Best decision ever. I swear, that coffee could wake the dead. After that, I strolled down Strada Mihai Viteazul. It’s a cute street, all cobblestones and old-school vibes. I was just vibin’, ya know? Then BAM! I see this street performer. He’s playin’ the accordion like he’s in a movie. I’m like, “What’s up, dude? You’re killin’ it!” He grins, and I toss him a couple of lei. Felt like a rockstar for a sec. But then, oh man, the drama hit. I’m walkin’ to the university, right? And I see this old lady struggling with her groceries. I rush over, all hero-like, and help her out. She’s super grateful, but then she starts talkin’ my ear off about her cat, Miau Miau. I’m like, “Cool cat, lady, but I gotta go!” But she just keeps goin’. I’m thinkin’, “I didn’t sign up for a cat seminar!” Finally, I escape and get to the uni. The lecture hall is packed. I’m like, “Wow, these kids really wanna hear me ramble?” I start my lecture on Romanian literature, and they’re actually engaged! I mean, who knew? I even cracked a joke about Eminescu, and they laughed! I felt like a stand-up comedian for a hot minute. But then, mid-lecture, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy from back home, sendin’ memes. I’m tryin’ to keep my cool, but I can’t help but chuckle. The students are lookin’ at me like I’m a weirdo. I’m like, “Sorry, just a meme emergency!” They laughed again. I’m on a roll! After class, I’m feelin’ pumped. I decide to explore more of Filiasi. I hit up the local market on Strada Libertății. It’s a sensory overload! Fruits, veggies, people yellin’ about prices. I grab some fresh plums. They’re juicy and sweet, like summer in my mouth. But then, I see this guy tryin’ to haggle over a watermelon. I mean, c’mon, dude! It’s a watermelon, not a car! The vendor’s lookin’ at him like he’s lost his mind. I’m just standin’ there, laughin’ my butt off. As the sun starts settlin’, I wander over to the park near the river. It’s beautiful, man. Kids are playin’, couples are chillin’. I sit on a bench, eatin’ my plums, and just soak it all in. Life is good, ya know? But then, outta nowhere, a dog runs up to me. It’s this scruffy little thing, and it looks like it’s been through some stuff. I’m like, “Hey, buddy! You lost?” It just stares at me, and I’m thinkin’, “This dog gets me.” I name him Filu. I’m sittin’ there, talkin’ to Filu, and I realize how much I love this city. It’s quirky, it’s chaotic, but it’s home for now. I mean, who wouldn’t love a place where you can have coffee, help an old lady, and name a stray dog all in one day? As I head back to my place, I can’t help but smile. Filiasi, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
