Man, today was a wild ride. I mean, I thought being a cashier in Frasin would be chill, but nah, not today! So, I roll into work at the supermarket on Strada 1 Decembrie, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be a good day.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First customer walks in. This dude, I swear, he’s got a cart full of stuff. Like, who needs 10 packs of toilet paper? I mean, c’mon! But whatever, I’m just here to scan and bag. He’s chatting away about the weather like we’re best buds. I’m like, “Bro, I just wanna get through this shift.” Then, outta nowhere, the power goes out! Just poof! Lights off, registers down. I’m standing there like a deer in headlights. The customers? Total chaos. People start yelling, “What’s going on?” and “I need my groceries!” I’m just thinking, “Dude, it’s not my fault!” So, I’m trying to keep it cool, right? I’m like, “Hey, everyone, just chill! We’ll be back up in a sec!” But then, this lady on Strada Mihai Eminescu starts freaking out. She’s got a baby in one arm and a half-eaten sandwich in the other. She’s like, “I can’t wait! I need to get home!” I’m like, “Lady, I feel ya, but I can’t magic the power back on!” Finally, after what feels like an eternity, the lights flicker back on. Everyone cheers like we just won the lottery or something. I’m back to scanning, and guess what? The same dude with the toilet paper is back! I’m like, “Dude, you just left!” He’s like, “Yeah, I forgot the chips!” I can’t even. Then, this old man comes in. He’s got a cane and a smile that could light up the whole of Frasin. He’s telling me stories about the old days, like when they used to have fairs on Strada Principala. I’m laughing, but also thinking, “Man, I wish I could’ve seen that.” But then, bam! Another surprise. A kid runs in, chasing a dog. The dog’s got a whole loaf of bread in its mouth! I’m cracking up, and the old man’s like, “That’s the spirit of Frasin!” I’m thinking, “Yeah, but I’m still stuck here!” By the end of my shift, I’m exhausted. I’m counting the cash, and my brain’s fried. I step outside, and the sunset over the hills is gorgeous. I take a deep breath, and for a second, I forget about the craziness. Frasin’s got its charm, ya know? So, yeah, today was a rollercoaster. I laughed, I almost cried, and I definitely questioned my life choices. But hey, that’s life in Frasin, right? Full of surprises, chaos, and a bit of magic. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
