Man, what a day! I swear, being a vet in Husi is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I roll into the clinic on Strada 1 Decembrie, coffee in hand, ready to tackle whatever comes my way. Little did I know, today was gonna be a wild ride. First off, I get a call about a stray dog on Strada Călărași. Poor thing was limping like it just lost a dance-off. I rush over, dodging potholes like they’re landmines. Husi’s streets are a whole vibe, but seriously, can we fix these roads? Anyway, I find the pup, and he’s got this sad look. I’m like, “Dude, I got you.” I scoop him up, and he’s all wiggly and grateful. I name him “Călin” on the spot. Călin’s got this goofy personality, and I’m already falling for him. But then, outta nowhere, a cat jumps out from behind a bush. Like, what? This cat’s got some serious attitude. It hisses at me like I’m the villain in a cartoon. I’m just trying to save the day here! After that chaos, I head back to the clinic. I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, right? But then, I get a call about a parrot. A PARROT! Who even has a parrot in Husi? Turns out, it’s a fancy one, named “Mimi.” I’m thinking, “Great, now I gotta deal with a bird that probably talks back.” So, I get to this house on Strada Mărășești, and the owner is freaking out. Mimi’s been squawking like she’s auditioning for a rock band. I walk in, and this bird is perched on a chandelier, looking down at me like I’m the intruder. I’m like, “Chill, Mimi, I’m here to help.” But no, she decides to dive-bomb me. I duck, and she misses, but I’m sweating bullets. I finally manage to catch her, and she’s all fluffed up, giving me the stink eye. I swear, I’ve never felt so judged by a bird in my life. After the parrot drama, I’m thinking, “Okay, it can’t get crazier than this.” But then, I get a call about a cat stuck in a tree. Classic Husi, right? I grab my gear and head to Strada Tineretului. I get there, and it’s a whole scene. A bunch of kids are gathered, pointing at this tree like it’s the next big attraction. I climb up, and there’s this fluffy furball, looking down at me like, “Help? Or nah?” I’m like, “Dude, you’re the one who climbed up there!” Finally, I coax the cat down with some treats. The kids cheer like I just won the Olympics. I’m feeling like a hero, but inside, I’m just exhausted. By the end of the day, I’m back at the clinic, and it’s dark outside. Husi’s streets are lit up, and it’s kinda beautiful. I think about Călin, the parrot, and the cat. It’s wild how one day can be so full of surprises. I grab a slice of pizza from that little place on Strada Victoriei. Best pizza in town, no cap. I sit on a bench, watching the world go by. I’m tired, but I’m happy. Husi’s got its quirks, but it’s home. So yeah, that was my day. Just another Tuesday in the life of a vet. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
