Man, what a day! Ighiu, you wild beast! I’m a dispatcher, right? So, I’m used to chaos, but today? Pffft, it was next level. First off, I roll into the office on Strada Principală, coffee in hand, ready to tackle whatever comes my way. I’m thinking, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Joke’s on me, right? So, I’m just settling in when the phone rings. It’s this frantic lady from Strada Mureș. She’s like, “My cat’s stuck in a tree!” I’m like, “Lady, it’s a cat, not a lion!” But I send someone anyway. Gotta save the kitty, right? Then, boom! Another call. This time, it’s a dude on Strada Călărași. He’s yelling about a car accident. I’m thinking, “Great, just what I need.” I dispatch a couple of guys, but I can’t help but roll my eyes. I mean, come on! It’s Ighiu, not a racetrack! While I’m juggling calls, I glance out the window. The view of the hills is stunning. Ighiu’s got that charm, you know? But then, I see this old man trying to cross the street. He’s moving like molasses. I’m like, “Dude, hurry up! I got a city to run!” Back to the calls. I get another one. This time, it’s a kid on Strada Tineretului. He’s lost his bike. I’m like, “Seriously? You lost your bike in Ighiu?” I mean, it’s not that big! But I send someone to help. Then, outta nowhere, I get a call about a dog. A dog! On Strada Unirii, just chilling in the middle of the road. I’m laughing, like, “What’s next? A parade?” But I send a unit. Gotta keep the peace, right? By now, I’m running on fumes. My coffee’s gone cold, and I’m starting to feel like a zombie. Ighiu’s streets are buzzing, and I’m just trying to keep up. Suddenly, my buddy calls. He’s stuck in traffic on Strada Sălaj. I’m like, “Dude, it’s Ighiu! What do you expect?” He’s complaining about some construction. I’m thinking, “Welcome to the club, man!” Then, I get a call from the fire department. There’s a small fire at a bakery on Strada Libertății. I’m like, “Oh great, now we’re cooking!” But seriously, who sets a bakery on fire? I mean, come on! As the day drags on, I’m feeling all sorts of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised. Ighiu’s got this vibe, you know? One minute, I’m dispatching help for a cat, the next, I’m sending units for a fire. It’s a rollercoaster! Finally, the sun starts to set. I look out the window again. The hills are glowing. Ighiu, you beautiful mess! I can’t help but smile. But wait! One last call. A lady on Strada Florilor is locked out of her house. I’m like, “Lady, it’s Ighiu! Just break a window!” But I send someone anyway. As I wrap up the day, I’m exhausted but happy. Ighiu, you’ve tested me today. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a dispatcher. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
