Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a butcher in Ineu is like a rollercoaster ride. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already thinkin’ about the fresh cuts I gotta prep. I live on Strada 1 Decembrie, and lemme tell ya, that street is always buzzing. I get to the shop, and it’s like a scene from a horror movie. The fridge? Broken! Meat everywhere! I’m like, “Great, just what I needed.” I start sweatin’ bullets. I mean, who wants to deal with spoiled meat? Not me! So, I call my buddy, Vasile, who runs the repair shop on Strada Libertății. He’s always got my back. While I’m waitin’, I decide to clean up. I’m elbow-deep in beef when this old lady walks in. She’s from the neighborhood, always buys her sausages from me. She’s like, “Băiatule, you got any fresh chorizo?” I’m like, “Lady, I’m swimmin’ in chaos here!” But I can’t say no. So, I whip up some chorizo, and she’s all smiles. That made me happy, ya know? Then, outta nowhere, this dude barges in. He’s all like, “I need a whole lamb!” I’m thinkin’, “Dude, it’s not a BBQ party!” But I can’t turn him down. So, I start cuttin’ and slicin’. I’m in the zone, but then I hear a loud crash outside. I peek out, and it’s a car accident on Strada Mihai Viteazul. Just my luck, right? I’m tryin’ to focus, but the sirens are blarin’. I’m like, “Can’t a butcher catch a break?” Finally, Vasile shows up, and he’s like, “What’s up, man?” I’m like, “You see that mess?” He laughs, and I’m like, “Not funny, bro!” After the chaos, I finally get a breather. I step outside for a smoke. The air smells like grilled meat from the nearby market. I love that smell. It’s like home. I see my buddy Ion from the bakery on Strada Unirii. He’s got fresh bread, and I’m like, “Gimme that!” We chat about the local football team, Ineu’s pride. They’re doin’ okay this season, but we need a miracle to win the cup. Back in the shop, I’m finally catchin’ my breath. Then, this kid walks in. He’s got a big ol’ grin and says, “I want a steak!” I’m like, “You got money, kid?” He pulls out a coin. I can’t help but laugh. I give him a small piece, and he runs out like he just won the lottery. As the day winds down, I’m exhausted. But I love this place. Ineu’s got its quirks, ya know? The streets, the people, the chaos. It’s all part of the charm. I pack up, and as I’m leavin’, I see the sunset over the hills. It’s beautiful. Makes all the craziness worth it. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Ineu. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
