Man, what a day! I swear, being a cashier in Josenii-Bargaului is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I roll into work at the little shop on Strada Principală, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First customer walks in. This dude, I swear, he’s got a cart full of stuff. Like, who needs 10 packs of toilet paper? I mean, c’mon! Anyway, he’s fumbling around, and I’m just standing there, tapping my foot, thinking, “Dude, hurry up!” Finally, he pays, but then he drops a pack of gum. I’m like, “Really? You just bought a mountain of TP and you drop gum?” Classic. Then, outta nowhere, this lady storms in. She’s all flustered, hair a mess, and she’s yelling about her cat. I’m like, “Lady, I’m just a cashier, not a vet!” But she’s going on about how Mr. Whiskers got out and she needs cat food ASAP. I’m trying to scan her stuff, but she’s waving her arms like she’s conducting an orchestra. I’m just trying to keep it together, you know? And then, bam! Power goes out. Just like that. The lights flicker, and I’m standing there in the dark, thinking, “Great, just great.” I can hear the customers grumbling. I’m like, “Chill, folks! We’re in Josenii-Bargaului, not a horror movie!” But no one’s laughing. So, I pull out my phone for light, and guess what? My battery’s dead. Of course! I’m stuck in the dark, and I can’t even call for help. I’m just standing there, feeling like a deer in headlights. After what feels like forever, the power comes back. I’m relieved, but then I see the line. It’s like a scene from a zombie movie. People are staring at me, and I’m like, “I’m not a magician, folks!” Finally, I get through the line, and this old man comes up. He’s got a bag of flour and a bottle of soda. I’m thinking, “What’s he making? A cake for a party?” But then he starts telling me about the best fishing spots near the Bistrița River. I’m like, “Dude, I’m just trying to ring you up!” But he’s so passionate, I can’t help but smile. Then, out of nowhere, my buddy from high school, Andrei, walks in. He’s got this huge grin, and I’m like, “What’s up, man?” Turns out he just got back from a trip to the mountains. He’s all hyped about hiking on the Ceahlău Massif. I’m like, “Dude, I’m stuck here, living the dream!” As the day drags on, I’m exhausted. I’m thinking about grabbing a kebab from that place on Strada Tineretului after work. You know, the one that’s always packed? But then, this lady comes in with a crying baby. I’m like, “Oh no, not now!” But she’s super sweet, and I can’t help but feel for her. Finally, the clock hits closing time. I’m outta there! I grab my kebab, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I sit on a bench near the park, watching the sunset over the hills. Josenii-Bargaului is beautiful, man. The colors are insane. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of chaos, laughter, and a bit of madness. Just another day in Josenii-Bargaului, right? Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
