Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Lehliu-Gara, right? The sun’s blaring through my window, and I’m like, “Ugh, another day in this crazy town.” But lemme tell ya, I had NO idea what was coming. First off, I’m a typhlopedagogue, which is just a fancy way of saying I teach blind kids. And today, I had a class at the school on Strada Principală. You know, the one that’s always buzzing with life? I’m walking there, and I’m already late. Classic me. I’m dodging potholes like I’m in some kind of obstacle course. Seriously, the roads here are like a minefield. So, I finally get to the school, and guess what? The kids are already there, all hyped up. I love their energy, but man, they can be a handful. One kid, I swear, he’s got more energy than a puppy on a sugar rush. He’s bouncing around, and I’m just trying to keep it together. We start the lesson, and I’m all about using tactile stuff, you know? I brought some cool materials. But then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm goes off! Like, what the heck? I’m thinking, “Is this a drill or are we actually on fire?” The kids are freaking out, and I’m trying to keep my cool. We rush outside to the yard, and it’s chaos. I’m standing there, trying to count heads, and I realize one kid is missing! Panic mode activated! I’m like, “Where’s Andrei?!” Turns out, he’s just chilling by the swings, totally oblivious. I could’ve lost my mind! After that little adventure, we finally get back to class. I’m trying to teach them about textures, and I bring out this fuzzy fabric. One kid, Maria, she’s like, “This feels like my cat!” And I’m just cracking up. Kids say the darndest things, right? But then, I get a text from my buddy. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta check out the new café on Strada Tineretului.” I’m thinking, “Café? I need coffee!” So, after class, I’m off to find this place. I get there, and it’s super cute! Like, Instagram-worthy cute. I order a cappuccino, and while I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. I mean, come on, it’s a café, not a boxing ring! The guy’s like, “You never listen!” and the girl’s like, “Well, you never talk!” I’m just sipping my coffee, trying not to laugh. Then, I head back home, and I decide to take a stroll through the park on Strada Florilor. It’s beautiful, man. The flowers are blooming, and the air smells like spring. I’m feeling all zen until I see a bunch of kids playing soccer. They’re kicking the ball around, and one kid accidentally sends it flying right at me! I duck just in time, but I’m like, “Really? Is this my life now?” Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted. I flop on the couch, and I’m just thinking about the day. It was wild, emotional, and honestly, a bit ridiculous. But that’s Lehliu-Gara for ya. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another rollercoaster in this crazy little town. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
