Man, what a day! I swear, if I had a dollar for every crazy thing that happened in Liesti today, I’d be rich. So, I wake up, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m running late. Classic me. I sprint down Strada 1 Decembrie, dodging potholes like I’m in some kind of obstacle course. Seriously, Liesti needs to fix these roads. I almost tripped over a stray cat. That little furball looked at me like, “You good, bro?” I just laughed and kept going. Get to the office, and guess what? The coffee machine’s broken. Ugh! I mean, who can function without coffee? Not me, that’s for sure. So, I’m grumpy, and my coworkers are like, “Chill, it’s just coffee.” Just coffee? Nah, it’s LIFE! Then, I get a call from my boss. He’s like, “We need to talk about the budget.” My heart drops. Budget talks are the worst. I’m thinking, “Dude, can’t we just go grab a kebab on Strada Principala instead?” But no, we gotta sit in a stuffy conference room. While I’m in this meeting, my phone buzzes. It’s a text from my buddy, Alex. He’s at the park, chilling by the lake. I’m like, “Why am I stuck here?” I can hear the laughter and fun from the park. It’s torture! Finally, the meeting ends. I bolt outta there. I need fresh air. I head to Parcul Central, and wow, it’s packed! Families, kids, dogs everywhere. I spot Alex, and he’s got this huge grin. He hands me a kebab, and I’m like, “You’re a lifesaver!” But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I just got my kebab! Everyone’s scrambling for cover. I’m laughing, soaked, but it’s kinda fun. We run to this little café on Strada Tineretului. It’s cozy, and the smell of fresh pastries is heavenly. We sit there, munching on our food, and I’m just happy. I mean, who cares about budgets when you’ve got good friends and good food, right? We start talking about the old days, how we used to hang out by the old train station. Man, those were the days! But then, my phone buzzes again. It’s my boss. He’s like, “Where are you?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m saving the world one kebab at a time!” But I can’t say that, so I just text back, “On my way!” I rush back to the office, and guess what? The budget meeting is still going on. I sneak in, and everyone’s looking at me like I’m the prodigal child. I just smile and nod. After the meeting, I’m exhausted. I head home, and as I walk down Strada Libertății, I can’t help but think about how wild today was. From broken coffee machines to rainstorms and kebabs, it was a rollercoaster. I plop down on my couch, and I’m like, “What a day!” Liesti, you never cease to amaze me. I love this city, even with its potholes and crazy weather. Here’s to more days like this—just maybe with less rain next time!
