Man, what a day! I swear, being a telephone operator in Lumina is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” LOL, boy was I wrong! First call comes in at 8 AM. It’s some dude on Str. 1 Decembrie, totally freaking out. His cat, Mr. Whiskers, is stuck in a tree. I’m like, “Dude, it’s a cat, not a rocket scientist.” But he’s crying, and I’m just trying to keep it together. I mean, I love cats, but c’mon! I send him to the local fire station. They’re probably used to this stuff, right? Then, I get another call. This time, it’s a lady from Str. Mihai Eminescu. She’s yelling about her neighbor’s dog barking all night. I’m like, “Lady, it’s a dog, not a concert!” But she’s all, “I can’t sleep!” I’m thinking, “Maybe you should invest in earplugs?” But I just nod and say, “I’ll pass your complaint.” Around noon, I finally get a break. I grab a coffee from that cute little café on Str. Libertății. The barista, Alex, is super chill. We chat about the weather, and I’m like, “Man, it’s hotter than a sauna out here!” He laughs, and I feel a bit better. But then, BOOM! My phone rings again. This time, it’s a guy from Str. Tineretului. He’s lost his wallet. I’m like, “Dude, retrace your steps!” But he’s panicking like he lost a million bucks. I mean, it’s just a wallet! I tell him to check the park near the lake. People lose stuff there all the time. By 3 PM, I’m ready to pull my hair out. I get a call from a lady on Str. Călărași. She’s complaining about the potholes. I’m like, “Welcome to Lumina, lady! Potholes are our city’s charm!” But she’s not having it. “Fix them!” she screams. I’m thinking, “Yeah, let me just call the mayor and fix the whole city while I’m at it.” Then, the craziest thing happens. A call comes in from a guy who claims he’s seen a UFO over Str. Unirii. I’m like, “Seriously? Are you high?” But he’s dead serious. I can’t help but laugh. “Did you check if it’s just a drone?” I ask. He hangs up on me. Rude! Finally, the day winds down. I’m exhausted, but I can’t help but smile. Lumina is wild, man. It’s got its quirks, but it’s home. I stroll down Str. Bălcescu, feeling the evening breeze. The lights are coming on, and the city looks beautiful. I think about all the calls I took. The cat, the dog, the wallet, the UFO. It’s all so ridiculous, but it’s life, right? I grab a slice of pizza from that spot on Str. Vasile Alecsandri. Best pizza in town, no cap! As I head home, I can’t help but laugh. Tomorrow’s gonna be another crazy day. But hey, that’s Lumina for ya!
