Man, what a day! I swear, being a shepherd in Marghita is like a rollercoaster. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I head down Strada 1 Decembrie. You know, the one with all the shops? I’m just minding my own business, when I see this old dude selling sheep cheese. I’m like, “Yo, I gotta get me some of that!” So I buy a chunk, and it’s the best cheese ever. Like, I could’ve cried. But then, I drop it. Yup, right on the pavement. Cheese everywhere! I’m standing there like an idiot, while this kid laughs at me. Thanks, kid. Real mature. Then I decide to check out the market on Strada Libertății. It’s packed! People everywhere, shouting, haggling. I’m just trying to find some fresh veggies for my lunch. I spot some tomatoes, and they look bomb. But this lady cuts in front of me! I’m like, “Excuse me?!” But she just gives me this look like I’m the problem. Ugh! So I let it go. I mean, I’m a shepherd, not a fighter, right? After that, I’m walking down Strada Mihai Viteazul, and I see this stray dog. Poor thing looks like it hasn’t eaten in days. So, I pull out a piece of my precious cheese (the one I didn’t drop) and give it to the dog. It’s like I’m a hero or something. The dog wags its tail, and I’m feeling all warm inside. But then, it starts following me! Great, now I’m a shepherd with a dog sidekick. Next, I hit up the park near the old church. It’s peaceful there, you know? I sit on a bench, just chillin’. But then, this group of teenagers shows up, blasting music. Like, come on! I’m trying to enjoy nature here! So, I’m sitting there, trying to meditate or whatever, but all I can hear is some pop song on repeat. I’m about to lose it. But then, outta nowhere, I see this couple having a picnic. They’ve got a whole spread: sandwiches, fruit, wine. I’m like, “Man, I need that life.” So, I walk over, and they invite me to join. I’m like, “Really? You sure?” And they’re all, “Yeah, man! More the merrier!” So, I sit down, and we start chatting. Turns out, they’re from Cluj and just visiting. We laugh, share stories, and I forget all about the cheese disaster and the annoying teens. After a while, I realize I gotta head back to the flock. So, I say my goodbyes and start walking back. I’m feeling good, you know? But then, I take a wrong turn on Strada Călărașilor. I’m like, “Where the heck am I?” It’s all residential, and I’m just wandering around like a lost sheep. Finally, I find my way back, but not before I get a few weird looks from the locals. When I finally get to the field, my sheep are all chillin’. They’re like, “Dude, where you been?” I’m just like, “You wouldn’t believe the day I had.” And they just stare at me, like they care. So yeah, that was my day in Marghita. Full of ups and downs, cheese drama, and unexpected friendships. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
