Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from all the craziness in Mastacani. I mean, I thought I was just gonna chill, teach a class, grab some coffee, and call it a day. Nope! Not in this city! So, I wake up, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be great!” I stroll down Strada Principală, feeling all good vibes. But then, bam! I trip over a loose cobblestone. Classic! I’m like, “Really, Mastacani? You wanna start like this?” Anyway, I finally make it to the university. The campus is buzzing. Students everywhere, chatting, laughing. I love that energy! But then, I find out my lecture hall got switched last minute. Ugh! I’m supposed to be in Aula Magna, but now I’m in some tiny room on Strada Tineretului. Like, c’mon! I need space to breathe, people! So, I get to the new room, and it’s packed. I mean, standing room only! I’m trying to teach about the impact of globalization, but half the class is glued to their phones. I’m like, “Hey, I’m right here! Look at me!” But nope, they’re scrolling through TikTok. I swear, I almost lost it. But then, something amazing happens. This one student, Maria, she raises her hand. She’s like, “Prof, can you relate globalization to our local culture?” And I’m like, “Whoa, yes! Finally, someone’s paying attention!” We dive into this awesome convo about how Mastacani’s traditions are blending with modern influences. I’m pumped! After class, I decide to grab a bite. I hit up this little place on Strada Libertății. Best mici ever! I’m talking juicy, spicy, and just the right amount of char. I’m devouring them like I haven’t eaten in days. But then, I spill some on my shirt. Great! Now I look like a walking food disaster. While I’m munching, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it about something ridiculous—like who left the lights on. I’m sitting there, trying not to laugh. I mean, c’mon! It’s not the end of the world! But then, the guy storms out, and the girl starts crying. I feel bad, but also kinda entertained. After lunch, I decide to take a stroll through Parcul Central. It’s beautiful there! The flowers are blooming, kids are playing, and there’s this old guy feeding pigeons. I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, outta nowhere, a pigeon lands on my head! I freak out! I’m flailing my arms like a maniac. People are staring, and I’m like, “Yeah, just another day in Mastacani!” As I’m leaving the park, I bump into an old friend, Ion. We haven’t seen each other in ages! We start reminiscing about our college days, laughing about all the dumb stuff we did. He tells me about his new job, and I’m genuinely happy for him. But then, he mentions he’s moving to Bucharest. My heart sinks a bit. I hate goodbyes! The day’s winding down, and I’m exhausted. I decide to hit up a local bar on Strada Călărași. I need a drink! I order a palincă, and it hits the spot. I’m chatting with the bartender, who’s super chill. He tells me about the local music scene, and I’m like, “Dude, I need to check this out!” But then, as I’m leaving, I realize I left my bag at the bar! Panic mode activated! I rush back, and thankfully, it’s still there. I’m sweating bullets, but I grab it and bolt out. Finally, I head back to my place, and I’m just like, “What a day!” I’m happy, angry, surprised, and a little bit tipsy. Mastacani, you’ve got my heart racing! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
