Man, what a day! I swear, Matasaru really knows how to throw a curveball. Woke up late, as usual. Alarm? Nah, who needs that? So, I’m rushing through my tiny apartment on Strada 1 Decembrie, tripping over my own shoes. Classic me, right? Grabbed a coffee from that little place on Strada Libertății. You know the one? The barista there is always grumpy. Like, dude, it’s just coffee. Chill! But today, he actually smiled. I thought I was dreaming. Maybe he finally got laid or something. So, I’m chugging my coffee, and boom! My phone buzzes. Client wants to meet. Like, now. Ugh, can’t a guy catch a break? I sprint down Strada Călărașilor, dodging pigeons and old ladies. Seriously, they walk like they own the place. Finally, I get to the office on Bulevardul 1 Mai. My boss is already there, looking like he just swallowed a lemon. “Where have you been?” he barks. I mean, chill, man! I’m here, aren’t I? The meeting was a disaster. Numbers everywhere. I’m talking spreadsheets that looked like a toddler went wild with crayons. My client was sweating bullets. “We’re gonna go bankrupt!” he yells. I’m like, “Dude, relax. It’s just a cash flow issue.” But he’s not having it. After that chaos, I needed air. So, I hit up the park near Strada Măcelarilor. You know, the one with the weird statue? I sat on a bench, trying to breathe. Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, chasing a dog. The dog? It’s got a stick twice its size. I laughed so hard, I almost cried. Kids and dogs, man. Pure joy. But then, my phone buzzes again. It’s my mom. “You coming for dinner?” she asks. I totally forgot! I’m supposed to bring dessert. So, I dash to the market on Strada Victoriei. It’s packed! People everywhere, like sardines. I grab some pastries, but they’re all out of my favorite. Typical! Finally, I get to my mom’s place. She’s in the kitchen, cooking up a storm. “You’re late!” she says, hands on her hips. I’m like, “Mom, I’m an accountant, not a magician!” We laugh, but then she starts talking about my love life. Ugh, can’t a guy catch a break? Dinner was great, though. We had sarmale, and I stuffed my face. I swear, I could eat those every day. But then, my phone buzzes again. It’s my boss. “Need those reports by morning!” he texts. Seriously? I just wanna chill! After dinner, I head home, exhausted. Matasaru is lit at night, though. The lights, the sounds, the vibe. I love this city, even when it drives me nuts. I walk down Strada Unirii, feeling grateful. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Matasaru, you crazy, but I wouldn’t trade you for anything.
