Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a gardener in Merei is like a rollercoaster ride. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head down Strada 1 Decembrie. You know, the one with all the cute cafes? I’m just mindin’ my own biz, when I see this old dude, like, totally lost. He’s lookin’ at a map like it’s a Rubik’s cube or somethin’. I’m like, “Yo, need help?” Turns out, he’s tryin’ to find the Botanical Garden. I’m like, “Dude, I’m a gardener! I gotcha!” So, I give him directions, and he thanks me like I just saved his life. I mean, it’s just a garden, right? But hey, I’ll take the praise. So, I finally get to my patch of green on Strada Tineretului. It’s my little slice of heaven. I’m diggin’ in the dirt, plantin’ some flowers, when suddenly, BAM! A freakin’ pigeon poops on my shoulder. Like, seriously? I’m just tryin’ to grow some daisies here! I’m flappin’ my arms like a madman, cursing the sky. “Why, Merei? Why?” But then, I see this little kid, maybe 5 or 6, runnin’ around with a big ol’ smile. He’s got a balloon, and it’s floatin’ away. I watch him chase it, and for a sec, I forget about the pigeon poop. It’s like, pure joy, ya know? Kids and balloons, man. It’s the simple things. After that, I’m back to work, and I’m thinkin’ about how Merei’s got this vibe. The streets are alive! Strada Victoriei is just a few blocks away, and you can hear the hustle and bustle. People laughin’, chattin’, livin’ their lives. It’s a beautiful mess. But then, I get a call from my buddy, Alex. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the market!” I’m like, “I’m knee-deep in dirt here!” But he’s persistent. So, I pack up my tools and head over to Piața Merei. Man, that place is a treasure trove! Fresh veggies, flowers, and the best pastries. I grab a slice of cozonac, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, I see this lady, right? She’s tryin’ to haggle over a tomato. A TOMATO! I’m like, “Lady, it’s not gold!” But she’s relentless. I’m just standin’ there, eatin’ my cozonac, watchin’ this whole thing unfold. It’s like a soap opera, but with more veggies. Finally, I head back to my garden, and I’m feelin’ all sorts of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised—like a mixed bag of feelings. I’m thinkin’ about how Merei is full of life, chaos, and beauty. It’s a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. As the sun sets, I’m packin’ up my stuff, and I can’t help but smile. Merei, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. Even with the pigeon poop and the tomato drama, I love you. Here’s to another day in this beautiful mess!
