Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Odorheiu-Secuiesc, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had a gig at the local community center on Strada Mihai Viteazul. You know, the one with the weird mural of a dragon? Yeah, that one. I’m there, ready to translate some Russian Sign Language for this group of deaf kids. Super excited, right? But then, bam! The bus is late. Like, really late. I’m standing there, tapping my foot, thinking, “C’mon, people! I got dragons to deal with!” Finally, the bus rolls up. I hop on, and it’s packed. I mean, like, sardines in a can packed. I squeeze in next to this old lady who smells like cabbage. No offense to cabbage lovers, but yikes! I’m trying to breathe, and she’s chatting away in Romanian. I’m nodding, but honestly, I have no clue what she’s saying. Just smiling like an idiot. Get to the center, and guess what? The kids are already there, bouncing off the walls. They’re so hyped! I’m like, “Okay, let’s do this!” But then, I realize I forgot my notes. Ugh! I’m scrambling through my bag, and it’s like a black hole in there. I pull out a half-eaten sandwich, a random sock, and finally, my notes. Phew! So, we start the session, and these kids are amazing. They’re signing like pros! But then, one kid, let’s call him Alex, decides to throw a paper airplane right at my face. I’m talking direct hit! I’m like, “Dude, what’s your problem?” But he just laughs. I can’t help but laugh too. Kids, man. They’re wild. After the session, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. But then, I step outside, and it’s pouring rain. Like, seriously? I just got my hair done! I’m sprinting down Strada 1 Decembrie, dodging puddles like I’m in some weird obstacle course. I’m soaked, and my shoes are squelching. Not cute. I decide to grab a coffee at that little café on Strada Republicii. You know the one with the cute barista? Yeah, I’m totally crushing. I order a cappuccino, and while I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing about... I don’t even know. Something about a cat? I’m eavesdropping like it’s my job. Turns out, they’re fighting over who forgot to feed their cat. I’m like, “Feed your cat, people! Priorities!” Finally, I get my coffee, and it’s perfect. I take a sip, and it’s like heaven in a cup. But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Classic me, right? I’m standing there, looking like a mess, and the barista just smirks. I can’t even be mad. I mean, it’s kinda funny. So, I decide to take a stroll around the city. Odorheiu-Secuiesc is beautiful, man. The architecture, the vibe, everything! I walk past the old church on Strada Sălaj, and it’s just stunning. I’m snapping pics like a tourist. I mean, who wouldn’t? But then, I see this street performer playing the accordion. He’s really good! I stop to watch, and suddenly, I’m in a crowd. Everyone’s clapping, and I’m feeling the energy. It’s like a mini concert! I’m dancing a little, and people are looking at me like I’m crazy. Whatever, I’m having fun! As the day winds down, I’m exhausted but happy. I head home, thinking about all the craziness. Odorheiu-Secuiesc, you’ve got my heart. Even with the rain, the cabbage lady, and the paper airplanes. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
