Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a ratcatcher in Poduri ain’t for the faint-hearted. Woke up this mornin’ to the sound of my neighbor’s cat screamin’ like it was auditionin’ for a horror movie. Seriously, that cat’s got issues. Anyway, I grabbed my gear and hit the streets. First stop? Strada 1 Decembrie. You know, the one with all the shops? Yeah, that place was buzzin’. I’m walkin’ down the street, and I swear, I see more rats than people. Like, what’s up with that? I mean, I get it, it’s Poduri, but c’mon! I’m not a rat hotel! So, I’m mindin’ my own business, right? Then I spot this huge rat chillin’ by a trash can. I’m talkin’ a beast! Like, if that thing had a name, it’d be “Ratatouille the Destroyer.” I pull out my trusty trap, but then—bam! A kid runs by, kickin’ a ball, and the rat bolts. Ugh! I’m like, “Dude, watch where you’re kickin’ that thing!” Next, I head over to Strada Călărași. It’s quieter there, but the smell? Oh man, it’s like a mix of old bread and regret. I’m lookin’ for signs of rat activity, and I find this hole in the wall. I’m thinkin’, “Great, a rat condo!” But then, I hear this weird noise. Turns out, it’s just some old dude yellin’ at his TV. Classic Poduri, right? I finally catch a break at the park near Strada Mărășești. I sit down for a sec, grab a snack, and just chill. But then, outta nowhere, a pigeon swoops down and tries to steal my sandwich! I’m like, “Bro, this is my lunch, not a buffet!” I chase it off, and it’s like the whole park’s watchin’ me. I can feel their judgment. After that, I’m back on the grind. I hit up Strada Tineretului. It’s a bit sketchy, but that’s where the real action is. I see this group of kids playin’ with a dog, and I’m thinkin’, “At least someone’s havin’ fun.” But then, I spot another rat! This one’s smaller, but it’s quick. I’m chasin’ it down the street, and I feel like I’m in some kinda action movie. Finally, I corner it behind a dumpster. I’m about to catch it when—boom! A car honks, and I jump. The rat slips away. I’m like, “Seriously?!” I’m so done at this point. As the sun starts settin’, I head back home, exhausted. I pass by the old church on Strada Principală. It’s beautiful, but I’m too tired to appreciate it. I just wanna crash. But then, I see a little girl with a balloon. She smiles at me, and for a second, all the rat drama fades away. I smile back, and it hits me—this is Poduri. It’s messy, chaotic, but it’s home. So yeah, that was my day. Full of rats, weird noises, and a bit of joy. Just another day in the life of a ratcatcher in Poduri. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
