Man, what a day! I swear, Poiana-Teiului really knows how to throw a curveball. I woke up this mornin’ thinkin’ it’d be just another chill day, ya know? Just me, my charcoal, and the woods. But nah, life had other plans. So, I’m rollin’ down Strada Principală, just mindin’ my own business, when I bump into old Ion. That dude’s always got some wild story. Today, he’s ramblin’ about a bear sightin’ near the edge of the forest. I’m like, “Dude, are you serious?” He’s all, “Yeah, man! Big as a car!” I’m thinkin’, great, just what I need—bear drama on top of my charcoal burnin’. Anyway, I get to my spot near the Teiului River. It’s peaceful there, ya know? Birds chirpin’, water flowin’. But then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud crash. I jump like I’ve seen a ghost! Turns out, it’s just some kids messin’ around with a bike. Phew! But man, my heart was racin’. So, I start settin’ up my kiln, right? And I’m tryin’ to focus, but my mind’s all over the place. I’m thinkin’ about the last time I went to the market on Strada Cărbunelui. I bought some fresh bread, and this lady tried to charge me double! I was like, “Lady, I’m not made of money!” But she just laughed. Ugh, people! Back to the charcoal. I’m workin’ hard, sweatin’ like a pig, when I hear this commotion. I look up, and there’s a whole group of tourists takin’ selfies by the river. Like, really? You come all the way to Poiana-Teiului, and you’re just takin’ pics? I mean, I get it, the view’s nice and all, but c’mon! Then, one of ‘em trips and falls right into the river! I can’t help but laugh. I mean, it’s hilarious! But then I feel bad, so I run over to help. Turns out, the guy’s from Bucharest. He’s soaked, but he’s laughin’ too. “This is the best part of my trip!” he says. I’m like, “Dude, you’re crazy!” But hey, at least he’s havin’ fun. After that, I finally get my kiln goin’. The smell of the wood burnin’ is just... mmm, heavenly. But then, I hear this loud honkin’. I look up, and it’s a car stuck on Strada Muncii. The driver’s yellin’ at his buddy, who’s tryin’ to push it outta the mud. I’m just standin’ there, thinkin’, “This is a circus!” By the time the sun starts settlin’ down, I’m exhausted but happy. I’ve got my charcoal ready, and I’m feelin’ accomplished. I head back home, takin’ the long way through the woods. The trees are whisperin’ secrets, and I can’t help but smile. But then, I remember I forgot to grab some beer from the store. Ugh! So, I swing by the little shop on Strada Tineretului. The lady there knows me. “Back for more?” she smirks. I just nod, too tired to argue. Finally, I get home, plop down, and crack open a cold one. What a day! Poiana-Teiului, you wild place. You’ve got your bears, your tourists, and your crazy drivers. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Here’s to more days like this—just maybe with less bear drama next time!
