Man, what a day! I swear, Rodna really knows how to throw a curveball. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring day at the prison. You know, the usual. But nah, not today. First off, I hit the streets of Rodna, and lemme tell ya, the vibe was off. I mean, I’m driving down Strada 1 Decembrie, and there’s this dude in a bright yellow tracksuit just dancing like he’s in a music video. Like, bro, it’s 8 AM! Who does that? But hey, I laughed. Gotta appreciate the weirdness, right? Then I get to the prison, and it’s chaos. I walk in, and the guards are all like, “Warden! You won’t believe this!” I’m thinking, “Oh great, what now?” Turns out, one of the inmates, let’s call him “Mihai the Mischief,” decided to stage a little protest. He’s up on the roof, waving a bed sheet like it’s a flag of freedom or something. I’m like, “Dude, you’re in prison! Chill!” So, I’m up there trying to talk him down. I’m standing on the roof of the prison, looking out over Rodna. You can see the mountains in the distance, and it’s kinda beautiful, but I’m too stressed to appreciate it. I’m thinking, “Why can’t you just be normal, Mihai?” Finally, after what felt like forever, I get him to come down. He’s all like, “I just wanted to feel the wind!” I’m like, “Bro, you can feel the wind in your cell. Just open a window!” After that drama, I head over to the local café on Strada Libertății. I need a coffee, like, yesterday. I order a cappuccino, and the barista, this cool chick named Ana, gives me a smile. She’s like, “You look like you need this.” I’m like, “You have no idea.” While I’m sipping my coffee, I overhear some locals talking about the festival coming up. They’re all hyped about the food stalls and music. I’m thinking, “Man, I could use some of that fun.” But then I remember, I gotta be responsible. Ugh. Later, I head back to the prison, and guess what? There’s a fight breaking out in the yard. Just my luck, right? I rush in, and it’s like a scene from a movie. I’m yelling, “Stop! What are you, animals?” But they just keep going. I finally get them separated, and I’m fuming. Like, can’t a guy catch a break? By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I drive home through the streets of Rodna, and it’s all lit up. The lights on Strada Principală are twinkling, and I can hear music from somewhere. I think about how this city has its charm, even with all the craziness. I get home, plop on the couch, and just breathe. I’m like, “What a day.” I think about Mihai, the dancing dude, and the fight. Rodna, man. It’s wild. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Well, maybe a quiet day. Just one. So yeah, that was my day. Just another rollercoaster in Rodna. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
