Man, what a day! I swear, being a Program Director in Roman (ro) is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m cruising down Strada Unirii, and I hit a pothole so deep I thought I’d need a lifeguard. Seriously, it felt like I was driving into the Mariana Trench. My coffee almost flew outta my hand. I’m cursing under my breath, thinking, “Great start, genius.” Then, I get to the office on Strada Călărași, and it’s chaos. My team’s running around like headless chickens. Apparently, the venue for our big event just bailed. Like, what? Who does that? I’m fuming. I mean, we had everything planned! I’m pacing, trying to keep my cool, but inside, I’m like a volcano ready to blow. So, I grab my phone and start calling places. I’m dialing like a madman. “Hello? Do you have space for 200 people? No? Okay, thanks for nothing!” I swear, I must’ve called every venue in the city. Finally, I find a spot on Bdul Dacia. It’s not perfect, but it’ll do. I’m like, “Let’s make it work!” After that, I needed a breather. I hit up a café on Strada Lipscani. You know, the one with the cute barista? Yeah, that one. I order a cappuccino, and she gives me this smile that could light up the whole city. I’m feeling a bit better, ya know? But then, I spill it all over myself. Classic me. I’m sitting there, looking like a coffee monster, and she’s trying not to laugh. Then, I get a call from my boss. “Hey, we need to discuss the budget.” Ugh, the budget. My least favorite word. I’m like, “Can’t we just pretend it doesn’t exist?” But no, we gotta talk numbers. I’m trying to sound professional, but inside, I’m just thinking about how I need a vacation. Later, I’m walking down Strada Victoriei, and I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s killing it. I stop to listen, and for a moment, all my stress melts away. I toss him a few lei, and he gives me a nod. It’s those little moments, ya know? But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I’m talking torrential downpour. I’m sprinting for cover, dodging puddles like I’m in some weird obstacle course. I finally duck into a shop on Strada Batiștei, and it’s packed. Everyone’s crammed in there, looking like sardines. I’m just standing there, dripping wet, and I can’t help but laugh. Finally, the rain stops, and I head back to the office. I’m exhausted but somehow pumped. We pull off the event, and it’s a hit! People are laughing, dancing, and I’m just standing there, soaking it all in. I’m like, “We did it!” As the night winds down, I’m walking home, reflecting on the day. Roman (ro) is wild, man. It’s chaotic, it’s beautiful, and it’s full of surprises. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even with the potholes and the coffee spills, it’s my city. And tomorrow? Who knows what’ll happen. Bring it on!
