Man, what a day! Seriously, Rovinari, you’ve got me all kinds of twisted. Woke up this morning, sun shining like it was trying to blind me. I mean, c’mon, it’s Rovinari, not a beach resort! So, I’m out on Strada 1 Decembrie, right? Just trying to grab a coffee at that little place, you know, the one with the weird name? Yeah, that one. I order my usual, and the barista—bless her heart—totally messes it up. I mean, how do you mess up a simple cappuccino? I’m like, “Dude, I asked for foam, not a milk tsunami!” Anyway, I’m fuming, but whatever. I stroll down to the park near the Cultural House. It’s a nice spot, but today? Ugh. Kids everywhere, screaming like they’re auditioning for a horror movie. I’m just trying to enjoy the peace, but nope! Not in Rovinari today. Then, outta nowhere, I bump into my old buddy, Mihai. We used to run around these streets like we owned the place. He’s all like, “Hey, remember that time we got chased by that dog on Strada Tineretului?” I’m like, “Dude, I still have nightmares!” We laugh, and for a sec, I forget about the coffee disaster. But then, I see it. A huge billboard on the corner of Strada Eroilor. It’s advertising some new mall or something. I’m like, “Really? Another mall? Rovinari’s gonna be a concrete jungle!” I mean, can’t we just keep it chill? We don’t need more shops selling the same stuff. So, I’m walking, and I decide to hit up the local market. You know, the one by the old train station? It’s got that funky vibe. I’m browsing through some veggies, and this lady starts haggling like it’s the end of the world. I’m just standing there, thinking, “Lady, it’s not like you’re buying gold!” Then, I spot this old dude selling handmade crafts. His stuff is legit! I pick up a wooden carving, and he’s like, “Ah, that one’s special. It brings good luck.” I’m like, “Yeah, right. I need all the luck I can get!” I buy it, though. Can’t resist a good story. After that, I head over to the Rovinari Stadium. There’s a local game going on. The energy is wild! Fans are shouting, waving flags, and I’m just soaking it all in. I mean, who knew Rovinari had such spirit? I’m cheering like I’m a die-hard fan, even though I have no clue who’s playing. But then, the game takes a turn. The ref makes a terrible call, and the crowd goes nuts! People are yelling, throwing snacks—total chaos! I’m laughing, thinking, “This is Rovinari, folks! Where even a game can turn into a circus!” As the sun starts to set, I’m walking back home, feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised—like a rollercoaster. I pass by the old church on Strada Călugăreni, and it hits me. This place, with all its quirks and craziness, is home. So yeah, Rovinari, you’ve got your ups and downs. But today? You made me feel alive. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
