Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a carpenter in Sageata is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Strada Unirii. I’m like, “Great, another scorcher.” But hey, I’m a pro, I can handle it. First stop, I hit up the local lumber yard on Strada Călărași. I’m lookin’ for some oak for a custom job. The guy there, I swear, he’s got the personality of a wet sponge. I ask him for the good stuff, and he just shrugs. Like, dude, I’m not here for your life story! Just gimme the wood! Finally, I grab what I need and head to the site. It’s on Strada Mărășești, a real nice spot. The view of the river is killer. I’m thinkin’, “This is why I love this city.” But then, bam! My saw dies. Just like that. I’m standin’ there, fumin’. I mean, c’mon! I just bought this thing! So, I’m tryin’ to fix it, right? And I’m gettin’ all sweaty and frustrated. I’m like, “Why does this always happen to me?” I can hear the kids playin’ outside, laughin’ and havin’ a blast. I’m over here wrestlin’ with a stupid saw. Life’s unfair, man. After a solid hour of cursing and tinkering, I finally get it to work. I’m feelin’ like a champ! But then, I step back to admire my work, and I trip over a pile of wood. Classic me, right? I go down like a sack of potatoes. I’m layin’ there, lookin’ up at the sky, thinkin’, “This is my life now.” But then, outta nowhere, this old lady walks by. She’s on Strada Victoriei, and she stops. Looks at me and says, “You okay, young man?” I’m like, “Yeah, just takin’ a break.” She chuckles and says, “You should be more careful.” I’m thinkin’, “Thanks, mom.” But it’s sweet, ya know? So, I get back to work, and I’m finally makin’ progress. I’m cuttin’ and hammerin’, and it feels good. The sun’s settin’, and the whole city’s glowin’. I can see the old church on Strada Bisericii, and it’s just beautiful. I’m feelin’ all sentimental, like maybe I should write a poem or somethin’. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Radu. He’s like, “Yo, you comin’ to the pub later?” I’m like, “Dude, I just wanna finish this job.” But then I think, “Why not? I deserve a cold one.” So, I wrap up, clean my tools, and head out. I stroll down Strada Mareșal Averescu, and the vibe is just right. People are laughin’, music’s playin’, and I’m feelin’ good. I hit the pub, and it’s packed. Radu’s there, and he’s already three beers in. He’s like, “Finally! I thought you’d never show!” We start talkin’ about the day, and I’m tellin’ him about the saw and the old lady. He’s laughin’ his ass off. “Only you, man. Only you.” We order a round, and I’m just chillin’. As the night goes on, I’m thinkin’ about Sageata. It’s a wild place. The streets, the people, the little quirks. I love it here. Even with the craziness, it’s home. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Just gotta roll with it. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll write that poem after all.
