Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Stalpeni, right? The sun’s blaring through my window on Strada Unirii. I’m like, “Ugh, not today!” But ya know, gotta hustle. First thing, I hit up the local market on Strada Mareșal Averescu. It’s buzzing! People everywhere, shouting, selling stuff. I grab a coffee from that little stand. Best coffee ever, I swear. But then, this dude bumps into me. Like, c’mon man! Watch where you’re going! I spill half my coffee. I’m fuming. Then, I stroll down to the park near Biserica Sf. Nicolae. It’s chill there, right? Kids are playing, old folks are feeding pigeons. I sit on a bench, trying to calm down. But then, this kid runs by, and I swear he almost knocks me over. I’m like, “Dude, slow down!” But he just laughs and keeps running. Kids these days, man. After that, I decide to hit up the bakery on Strada 1 Decembrie. Best pastries in town! I grab a cozonac. It’s warm and sweet, just like my mood after that. I’m munching away, feeling good. But then, I see this guy I know, Mihai. He’s always got some drama. Turns out, he lost his job. I’m like, “Dude, that sucks!” But he’s all chill about it. “I’ll find something better,” he says. I admire that. So, I’m walking back, feeling all philosophical, when I hear this loud music. It’s coming from the square near the Cultural Center. I’m curious, so I head over. There’s a street performer, and he’s amazing! Playing the violin like a pro. I’m standing there, totally captivated. I throw him a few lei. He smiles, and I feel like a hero for a sec. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. I dash for cover under the awning of a shop on Strada Libertății. I’m standing there, dripping wet, and I see this couple laughing. They’re having the time of their lives. I’m like, “Why can’t I be that carefree?” Finally, the rain stops. I’m cold and grumpy, but I decide to head home. I take the long way, walking past the old train station. It’s kinda eerie at night, but I love it. The history, the stories. I can almost hear the trains from back in the day. When I get home, I crash on the couch. I’m exhausted but happy. Stalpeni, man. It’s wild. Full of surprises, ups and downs. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in this crazy city.
