Man, what a day! I swear, being an auctioneer in Tarnaveni is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit the streets of Tarnaveni. You know, the usual hustle on Strada 1 Decembrie. People everywhere, cars honking like they’re in a race. I grab a coffee from that little place on Strada Mihai Viteazul. Best coffee in town, no cap. But the barista? She spills half of it on me! I’m like, “Great, just what I needed.” Now I smell like a coffee bean. Anyway, I rush to the auction house. It’s on Strada Libertății, right? I’m thinking, “Let’s get this show on the road.” But nooo, the first lot is a freakin’ antique vase. Like, who even wants that? I mean, it’s nice and all, but c’mon! I’m here for the drama, the excitement! So, I start the bidding. “Who’ll give me 100 lei?” Silence. Crickets. I’m sweating bullets. Finally, some old dude in the back raises his hand. I’m like, “YES! We got a live one!” But then, outta nowhere, this lady shouts, “I’ll give you 200!” I’m shocked. Like, where did she come from? Turns out, she’s from Strada Călărașilor. She’s got a thing for vases. Who knew? So, we’re going back and forth, and I’m getting pumped. I’m yelling, “300! 400! 500!” The crowd’s getting into it. I’m feeling like a rockstar. But then, the old dude gets mad. He’s like, “I’m not done!” Dude, chill! It’s just a vase! But he keeps raising his hand. I’m thinking, “This is gonna be a long day.” After that, I take a breather. I step outside, and guess what? It starts pouring! Like, seriously? I’m drenched in seconds. I’m standing there, looking like a wet dog, and I can’t help but laugh. Tarnaveni weather, am I right? So, I head back in, and the next lot is a collection of old coins. Now we’re talking! I love coins. They’ve got history, stories. I start the bidding, and it’s like a frenzy. People are shouting, hands flying everywhere. I’m in my element! But then, this one guy from Strada Tineretului, he’s just too much. He’s waving his hands like he’s trying to take off. I’m like, “Dude, chill! You’re not gonna fly!” But he’s relentless. I’m cracking up, trying to keep it professional. Finally, we wrap up the coins, and I’m feeling good. But then, I get a call. My buddy from Strada Unirii tells me there’s a surprise auction happening tonight. I’m like, “What?!” Apparently, it’s some rare art pieces. I’m all in. So, I rush over after the day’s auction. The place is packed! I’m talking standing room only. I squeeze through the crowd, and there it is—a painting that looks like it’s from the Renaissance or something. I’m thinking, “This is gonna be epic.” The bidding starts, and it’s wild. People are throwing money like it’s confetti. I’m yelling, “500! 600! 700!” My heart’s racing. But then, the price skyrockets. I’m like, “Whoa, slow down!” In the end, it sells for a crazy amount. I’m exhausted but happy. I step outside, and the night air hits me. Tarnaveni looks beautiful at night. The lights, the sounds, the vibe. I can’t help but smile. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in Tarnaveni, I guess. Can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow!
