Man, what a day! I swear, Tomesti really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit the streets of Tomesti. You know, the usual spots—strutting down Strada 1 Decembrie, feeling all philosophical. I’m a psychologist, after all. Gotta look the part, right? But then, BAM! I trip over a pothole. Like, seriously? Who’s in charge of these roads? I’m pretty sure I saw a family of squirrels living in that thing. Anyway, I finally make it to my first appointment. A kid named Andrei. Sweet kid, but man, he’s got more energy than a double espresso. We’re chatting about his school stuff, and he suddenly goes off on this tangent about how he wants to be a superhero. I’m like, “Dude, that’s awesome! But, like, what’s your superpower?” He says, “I can make my mom laugh.” Aww, right? But then he adds, “And I can eat a whole pizza by myself.” I’m dying! After that, I head over to Strada Călărași for lunch. I’m thinking, “Let’s grab a bite at that little bistro.” You know the one? The one with the weirdly painted walls? Yeah, that place. I order a mici, and while I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m trying to eat my lunch, but I can’t help but eavesdrop. They’re fighting about who left the lights on. I mean, c’mon! Just turn them off! So, I finish my lunch, and I’m feeling all good until I step outside. It’s pouring! Like, outta nowhere! I’m soaked in seconds. I’m standing there, looking like a drowned rat, and I see this old lady on Strada Tineretului. She’s struggling with her groceries. I rush over, because, you know, good karma and all that. I help her, and she’s like, “You’re a good boy!” I’m blushing, but also thinking, “Lady, I’m a psychologist, not a boy!” After that, I’m just trying to dry off, so I duck into a café on Strada Libertății. I order a coffee, and guess what? They mess it up. I get a cappuccino instead of an espresso. I’m like, “Really? I’m not here for the foam art!” But whatever, I drink it anyway. It’s not bad, but I’m still grumpy about the rain. Then, I get a call from my buddy, Mihai. He’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe what happened!” Apparently, he saw a cat stuck in a tree on Strada Unirii. He’s trying to rescue it, and I’m just laughing. I mean, who rescues cats in Tomesti? But then I think, “Wait, I should probably help him.” So, I rush over, and we end up climbing this tree. Spoiler: the cat was fine. Just chilling, like, “What’s the fuss?” By the time I get home, I’m exhausted. I flop on my couch, and I’m like, “What a day!” I think about all the craziness. The pothole, the kid, the couple, the rain, the cat. It’s wild how one day can be so packed. So, yeah, Tomesti, you’ve got my heart racing. I love this city, but man, you keep me on my toes! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
