Man, what a day! I swear, being a prison warden in Alta (se) is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. You think you know what’s coming, but nah, life’s got other plans. So, let me spill the tea on this wild ride. First off, I woke up late. Classic me, right? Alarm didn’t go off. I’m sprinting down Calle de la Libertad, dodging pigeons like they’re ninjas. Seriously, those birds are out for blood. I finally make it to the prison, and the vibe is already off. You can feel it in the air, like a storm brewing. As I walk in, I see my buddy, Carlos, looking all frazzled. He’s usually chill, but today? Nah. He tells me there’s been a fight in the yard. Great. Just what I needed. I rush over to the yard, and it’s chaos. Guys are yelling, fists are flying. I’m like, “Yo! What’s the deal?” Turns out, it was over a game of cards. Cards! Can you believe that? I break it up, and I’m fuming. I mean, c’mon, we’re in Alta (se), not some back alley in a bad movie. I’m trying to keep my cool, but inside, I’m like a volcano ready to blow. After that, I head to the cafeteria. I need some coffee, like, stat. But guess what? The coffee machine’s broken. Of course! Just my luck. So I grab a donut instead. It’s stale. Ugh. I’m about to lose it. I mean, how hard is it to keep donuts fresh? I’m in Alta (se), not a donut wasteland! Then, outta nowhere, I get a call from the mayor’s office. They want to discuss “community relations.” I’m like, “What community? The one that thinks I’m a glorified babysitter?” But I put on my best warden face and head over to City Hall on Avenida de la Paz. The meeting is a circus. The mayor’s all smiles, talking about how we need to improve the image of the prison. I’m sitting there thinking, “Dude, we’re in Alta (se), not a spa retreat!” I mean, sure, we can try, but let’s be real. After that, I’m walking back, and I pass by the Plaza de la Constitución. It’s packed with people. Street performers, food stalls, the whole shebang. I stop for a sec, watch a guy juggle flaming torches. I’m like, “Man, I can barely juggle my life!” But it’s nice to see people enjoying themselves. Then, I get a text from my sister. She’s in town, wants to grab dinner. I’m like, “Sure, why not?” So I head over to Calle de la Amistad. We hit up this little taco joint. Best tacos in Alta (se), no cap. I’m chowing down, and she’s telling me about her new job. I’m happy for her, but also a bit jealous. After dinner, I’m feeling good. But then, I get a call from the prison. There’s been another incident. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” I rush back, and it’s another fight. This time over a stupid rumor. I’m ready to pull my hair out. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I sit in my office, staring at the wall. Alta (se) is beautiful, but man, it can be a lot. I think about the people, the streets, the chaos. It’s a wild place, but it’s home. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, just like the streets of Alta (se). I wouldn’t trade it for anything, though. Well, maybe a fresh donut.
