Man, what a day! I swear, Gaellivare is wild. I’m a car instructor, right? So, I’m used to the usual stuff. But today? Pffft, it was like a rollercoaster on steroids. First off, I roll into town, and it’s freezing. Like, I thought I was prepared, but nah. I’m talkin’ about that bone-chillin’ cold that makes your face feel like it’s gonna crack. I parked my car on Storgatan, and I’m already regretting my life choices. So, I meet my first student, Lisa. Sweet girl, but she’s got the attention span of a goldfish. We hop in the car, and she’s like, “What’s that?” every five seconds. I’m like, “Girl, focus! We’re not here to sightsee!” But then, I look out the window, and I see the beautiful views of the mountains. I mean, Gaellivare is stunning, but c’mon! We start driving down the E45, and she’s doing okay. I’m trying to keep it chill, but then she slams on the brakes. I’m like, “What the heck, Lisa?!” Turns out, she saw a reindeer. A freakin’ reindeer! In the middle of the road! I mean, this is Gaellivare, but still! I’m half-expecting Santa to pop out next. After that, I’m trying to get her to parallel park on Kaptensgatan. It’s a tight squeeze, and she’s sweating bullets. I’m like, “Breathe, girl! It’s just a car!” But she’s all over the place. I’m yelling, “Turn the wheel! No, the other way!” It’s chaos. I’m pretty sure I aged five years in that moment. Finally, she parks it, and I’m like, “You did it!” But then she’s like, “Did I hit the curb?” I look, and yep, she did. I’m like, “Welcome to driving, Lisa! Curb-hitting 101!” Next up, I get this dude named Erik. He’s chill, but he’s got this weird obsession with the speed limit. We’re cruising down Långgatan, and he’s going 30 in a 50 zone. I’m like, “Dude, you’re not in a funeral procession!” He just laughs. I mean, I appreciate the caution, but c’mon! Then, outta nowhere, it starts snowing. Like, heavy snow. I’m talking about a blizzard. I’m like, “Great, just what we need!” Erik’s eyes go wide, and I’m like, “Relax, it’s just snow!” But he’s gripping the wheel like it’s a lifeline. We hit the roundabout at the center of town, and it’s a mess. Cars everywhere, people slipping, and I’m just trying to keep my cool. I’m yelling, “Just go! Don’t stop!” It’s like a scene from a bad action movie. After that, I’m done. I need a break. I pull over at a café on the corner of Järnvägsgatan. I grab a coffee, and it’s like heaven in a cup. I sit there, watching the snow fall, and I’m like, “This is why I love Gaellivare.” It’s beautiful, even when it’s chaotic. But then, I get a call. It’s Lisa again. She’s stuck in a snowbank. I’m like, “Seriously?!” I rush over, and there she is, looking all sheepish. I can’t help but laugh. “You really know how to make my day, huh?” I help her out, and we’re both laughing. It’s moments like this that make it worth it. I mean, yeah, it was a crazy day, but it’s Gaellivare. It’s full of surprises, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, I head home, exhausted but happy. I think about all the craziness, and I’m like, “Bring it on, Gaellivare! I’m ready for more!”
