Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an auctioneer in Knivsta is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m zooming down Stora Gatan, coffee in one hand, my phone in the other. I’m tryin’ to check my emails while dodging potholes. Seriously, Knivsta needs to fix those! I almost spilled my coffee all over my favorite jacket. Not cool, man. So, I get to the auction house, and it’s packed. Like, standing-room-only packed. I’m thinkin’, “Wow, people really love their antiques.” But then I see this dude in the back, looking all shady. I mean, he’s got that “I’m up to no good” vibe. My gut’s tellin’ me to keep an eye on him. The auction kicks off, and I’m in my element. I’m calling out bids like a pro. “Do I hear 500? 600? 700?” The crowd’s hyped, and I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. But then, outta nowhere, Mr. Shady starts yelling. “That’s a fake! You’re all idiots!” Like, who invited this guy? I’m tryin’ to keep it cool, but inside, I’m fuming. I mean, come on! We’re in Knivsta, not some back alley in Stockholm. I tell him to chill, but he just keeps going. Finally, security steps in. Thank goodness! They escort him out, and the crowd’s like, “Woo!” I’m like, “Yeah, that’s right! Knivsta’s got your back!” After that drama, we get back to business. I’m auctioning off this beautiful old clock from the 1800s. It’s ticking away, and I’m thinking, “This thing’s a masterpiece!” Bids start flying, and I’m pumped. Then, out of nowhere, this sweet old lady in the front row raises her hand. She’s got this sparkle in her eye, and I can’t help but smile. “Do I hear 1,000?” I shout. She nods, and the crowd goes wild. I’m like, “Yes! Go, grandma!” It’s moments like these that make my job worth it. But then, just as I’m about to close the bid, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Erik, texting me about a crazy storm rolling in. I glance outside, and the sky’s turning dark. Like, really dark. I’m thinking, “Great, just what I need.” I wrap up the auction, and as I’m packing up, the wind starts howling. I’m racing down the street, dodging raindrops like they’re ninja stars. I swear, I’ve never run so fast in my life! I’m soaked by the time I get to my car parked on Kungsängsvägen. And then, bam! Lightning strikes nearby. I’m like, “Okay, universe, I get it! You’re trying to make a point!” I hop in my car, and it’s like a sauna in there. I crank the AC and just sit for a sec, trying to catch my breath. Finally, I head home, and I’m still buzzing from the day. Knivsta’s got its quirks, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The people, the vibe, even the crazy storms. It’s all part of the ride. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
