Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my little room on Storgatan, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to rush to my first appointment at the Linköping Cathedral. Like, I’m talking sprinting down the street. I mean, who knew the cathedral would be so massive? It’s like, “Hey, look at me, I’m a historical landmark!” I was late, ofc. Typical me. I dashed in, and the vibe was all serene and holy, but I was like, “Can I just get a moment to breathe?” Then, I met this guy, right? He was all dressed up, looking like he just stepped out of a fashion magazine. I’m thinking, “Dude, chill. It’s just a meeting.” But he was super intense, talking about art and culture in Linköping. I was like, “Bro, I’m just here to do my thing.” But then he mentioned the Östergötland Museum, and I got all excited. I love that place! So many cool exhibits. After that, I had to head over to Tannefors, which is like, a whole vibe. I was walking down the street, and I saw this cute little café. I couldn’t resist. I grabbed a kanelbullar (cinnamon bun) and a coffee. OMG, it was heavenly! I was on cloud nine, just munching away, when suddenly, this pigeon swoops down and tries to steal my bun! Like, excuse me, Mr. Pigeon, back off! I was ready to throw hands. But then, I got a text from my friend, saying she was at the Linköping Castle. I was like, “Ugh, I can’t miss that!” So, I bolted over there. The castle is so pretty, but it was packed with tourists. I mean, can’t a girl just enjoy some history in peace? I was trying to take a cute selfie, and this kid photobombed me. I was like, “Really, kid?!” But then I laughed it off. Kids are funny, I guess. So, I’m wandering around the castle, and I bump into this old lady. She starts telling me stories about Linköping’s history. I’m all ears, but then she goes off on a tangent about her cat. I’m like, “Okay, cool, but what about the castle?” But she was sweet, so I just nodded and smiled. By the time I left, I was feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, annoyed, surprised—like a rollercoaster. I decided to stroll down to the Stångån River. The view was stunning! I sat on a bench, just soaking it all in. The water was glistening, and I thought, “Man, I love this city.” But then, outta nowhere, it started to rain! Like, seriously? I ran for cover under a tree, looking like a wet dog. I was so over it. But then, I saw a rainbow! I mean, come on, how cliché but also beautiful? I couldn’t help but smile. Finally, I made my way back to my place, exhausted but happy. I plopped down on my bed and thought about the day. Linköping, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. I can’t wait for tomorrow, but let’s hope it’s a bit less chaotic!
