Man, what a day! I swear, Nora (se) is a wild ride. I woke up thinking it’d be chill. Nope! Not even close. First off, I’m the Program Director, right? So, I gotta be on top of my game. But I hit snooze like five times. Finally, I roll outta bed, hair’s a mess, and I’m like, “Great start, genius.” I grab my coffee from that little spot on Storgata. You know the one? The barista there is a legend. She knows my order by heart. I’m like, “Just gimme the usual.” She rolls her eyes but smiles. Love that place. So, I’m chugging my coffee, trying to wake up, and I head to the office on Bislett. Traffic? Ugh, don’t even get me started. It’s like everyone in Nora decided to drive at the same time. I’m stuck behind this dude who’s going 20 in a 40 zone. Like, c’mon man! Finally, I get to the office, and it’s chaos. My team’s running around like headless chickens. “Where’s the presentation?” “Did you send the invites?” I’m like, “Guys, breathe! We got this!” But inside, I’m freaking out. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Lars. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta see this!” I’m thinking, “What now?” Turns out, there’s a pop-up art exhibit on Torggata. I’m like, “Art? In Nora? Count me in!” So, I sneak out during lunch. I mean, who doesn’t love a little culture, right? I get there, and it’s packed! People everywhere, snapping pics, chatting. I’m feeling the vibe. But then, I see this piece that’s just a giant banana. Like, seriously? A banana? I can’t even. I’m laughing, and this lady next to me is like, “It’s a statement on consumerism.” I’m like, “Lady, it’s a banana.” But hey, art is subjective, right? After that, I head back to the office, and guess what? My computer crashes. Just my luck! I’m staring at the screen like it’s gonna magically fix itself. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t. I’m losing my mind. But then, my colleague, Mia, walks in with cupcakes from that bakery on Bislett. I’m like, “You’re a lifesaver!” We devour those things like we haven’t eaten in days. Sugar rush? Yes, please! The day drags on, and I’m trying to keep it together. We finally wrap up the presentation, and it’s time to present to the board. I’m sweating bullets. But when I start talking, I find my groove. I’m cracking jokes, and they’re actually laughing! Then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm goes off. Seriously? In the middle of my big moment? I’m like, “Great, just great.” We all file out, and I’m standing there, trying to keep my cool. But then, I see the sunset over the fjord. It’s stunning. I’m reminded why I love this city. Nora (se) has its quirks, but it’s home. Finally, we get back inside, and I finish the presentation. The board loves it! I’m on cloud nine. After work, I hit up a bar on Karl Johans gate with some friends. We’re toasting to surviving the day. I’m like, “Nora, you crazy, but I love ya!” And that’s a wrap on my day. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life in Nora (se). Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
