Man, what a day! I swear, if I had a dollar for every crazy thing that happened in Sala (se) today, I’d be rich. So, I wake up, right? Just another Tuesday, or so I thought. I’m an accountant, so my life is usually all about numbers and spreadsheets. Boring, I know. But today? Oh boy, today was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m cruising down Rua da Liberdade, and I’m already late for a meeting. Typical. I’m dodging people like I’m in some sort of obstacle course. You know how it is in Sala (se)—everyone’s in a rush, but no one’s actually going anywhere. I mean, c’mon, it’s like a scene from a bad movie. So, I finally get to the office, and my boss is already on my case. “Where are the quarterly reports?” he barks. I’m like, “Dude, chill! I’m here, aren’t I?” But he’s not having it. I swear, he’s got a permanent stick up his you-know-what. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Miguel. He’s like, “Yo, you gotta check out the street art on Rua do Comércio!” I’m thinking, “Art? Really? I’m drowning in numbers here!” But Miguel’s persistent, so I promise to swing by after work. Fast forward to lunchtime. I’m at this little café on Avenida da República, trying to enjoy a pastel de nata. But the waiter? Ugh, he’s taking forever. I’m about to lose it. I mean, how hard is it to serve a pastry? Finally, I get my food, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, I spill coffee all over my shirt. Classic me, right? After work, I’m finally free! I head over to Rua do Comércio, and wow, the street art is insane! There’s this massive mural of a lion, and it’s so vibrant. I snap a pic for the ‘gram. Gotta show off, right? But then, I see this guy trying to sell me some weird trinket. I’m like, “Nah, man, I’m good.” But he keeps pushing it. I’m thinking, “Dude, I’m not buying your junk!” Then, I bump into an old friend, Ana. We start chatting, and she tells me about this new bar on Rua da Alegria. I’m intrigued. “Let’s go!” I say. So, we head over, and it’s packed! The vibe is electric. I grab a drink, and suddenly, I’m feeling good. But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out! Seriously? In the middle of a party? Everyone’s like, “What the heck?” But we just start singing. It’s hilarious! We’re all off-key, but who cares? It’s Sala (se), and we’re making the best of it. Finally, the lights come back on, and I’m like, “Thank you, universe!” But then, I realize I left my wallet at the bar. Panic mode activated! I rush back, and thank goodness, it’s still there. I’m sweating bullets, though. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted. I flop onto my bed, thinking about the day. It was wild, emotional, and totally unexpected. Sala (se) never fails to surprise me. I love this city, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy adventure in the heart of Sala (se). Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
