Man, what a day! I swear, being a bodyguard in Punggol is like being in a movie, but without the cool soundtrack. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I’m cruising down Punggol Drive, and lemme tell ya, the traffic was a nightmare. Like, who decided to build all these condos? I mean, Punggol’s got more high-rises than a game of Jenga. I’m stuck behind this auntie in a pink car, and she’s going 20 km/h. Seriously? I could’ve walked faster. Finally, I get to my client’s place near Punggol Waterway. Beautiful spot, man. The water’s glistening, and I’m thinking, “This is the life.” But then, bam! My phone buzzes. It’s my boss. “Yo, we got a situation.” Great. Just what I needed. So, I rush over to the Punggol Plaza. It’s packed, like, everyone and their grandma is there. I spot my client, and he’s looking all nervous. Turns out, some dude’s been stalking him. Like, what? Who does that? I’m ready to throw down, but I gotta keep it cool. I’m scanning the crowd, and then I see him. This shady guy lurking near the food court. I’m like, “Oh hell no.” I start moving towards him, and my heart’s racing. I’m thinking, “Is this dude armed? Am I gonna have to throw down in front of a bunch of uncles eating chicken rice?” But then, outta nowhere, the guy bolts. I mean, he just takes off down Punggol Walk like he’s Usain Bolt or something. I’m chasing him, dodging families and strollers. I’m yelling, “Stop! Security!” but no one’s paying attention. Typical, right? We end up near the Punggol Jetty, and I’m thinking, “This is it. I’m gonna catch him.” But nah, he jumps onto a boat. A freakin’ boat! I’m standing there like an idiot, soaked in sweat, while he’s waving goodbye. I’m so mad, I could scream. After that, I head back to my client, who’s still shaken. I’m trying to calm him down, but I’m also fuming inside. Like, how do you let a stalker get this close? I mean, come on, bro! Then, just when I think it can’t get worse, it starts pouring. I’m talking monsoon-level rain. I’m drenched, and my hair’s a mess. I look like a wet dog. I’m standing under the shelter at Punggol Park, trying to catch my breath, and I can’t help but laugh. Like, what a day, right? But then, something amazing happens. I see a group of kids playing in the rain, splashing around, having the time of their lives. And I’m like, “Damn, I miss being a kid.” So, I join them. Yeah, I know, I’m a bodyguard, but who cares? We’re jumping in puddles, and for a moment, I forget about the craziness. After the rain stops, I’m feeling a bit better. I head back to my client’s place, and he’s all grateful. He’s like, “Thanks for today, man.” And I’m like, “No prob, just another day in Punggol.” So, yeah, that was my day. Full of drama, sweat, and a bit of joy. Punggol, you crazy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just gotta keep my head on straight and hope tomorrow’s a bit less wild.
