Man, what a day! I swear, being a broker in Queenstown-Estate (SG) is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. One minute you’re chillin’, the next you’re dodging curveballs like it’s the Olympics. So, I roll outta bed, right? It’s like 7 AM, and I’m already late. Queenstown’s streets are buzzing. I mean, who needs coffee when you’ve got the sound of honking cars on Margaret Drive? I grab my toast, and it’s burnt. Great start, huh? I hop on my bike, zooming down Holland Road. The air’s fresh, but my mood? Not so much. I’m thinking about that listing on Strathmore Avenue. It’s a sweet pad, but the owner? Total diva. She wants the moon and stars for it. Like, lady, it’s a 3-bedroom, not a palace! I get to the office, and my phone’s blowing up. Clients everywhere, all wanting to know about properties. I’m like, “Chill, people! I’m just one dude!” But no, they want the latest on Queenstown’s market. Did you know the prices are skyrocketing? It’s insane! I mean, I love my job, but sometimes I feel like a human calculator. Then, outta nowhere, I get a call from a buyer. He’s interested in a place on Yung Ho Road. I’m thinking, “Sweet, let’s make this happen!” But then he drops the bomb. He wants a discount. A DISCOUNT! I’m like, “Dude, this isn’t a flea market!” I almost lost it. After that, I head out to meet a client at the Queenstown MRT. It’s packed, as usual. I’m dodging people like I’m in a video game. Finally, I spot her. She’s late, of course. I’m standing there, sweating like a pig, thinking about how I could be at home binge-watching Netflix instead. When she finally shows up, she’s all smiles. I’m like, “You know we’re here to talk about buying a house, right?” But she’s just excited about the food stalls nearby. I mean, I get it. The hawker food in Queenstown is bomb! But c’mon, priorities! We check out a few places on Margaret Drive. One’s got a killer view of the park. I’m trying to sell it, but she’s more interested in the nearby bubble tea shop. I’m like, “Lady, focus!” But hey, if bubble tea seals the deal, I’m all for it. Then, I get a text from my buddy. He’s at the Queenstown Swimming Complex, and he’s like, “Dude, you gotta come!” I’m thinking, “Really? I’m working here!” But the thought of chilling by the pool is tempting. Finally, I wrap up the day. I’m exhausted but kinda happy. I mean, I love Queenstown. The vibe, the people, the food. It’s all good. I bike home, and the sunset is gorgeous. I stop by the park, just to breathe. But then, I see a bunch of kids playing soccer. They’re having a blast, and I’m like, “Man, I miss those days.” I used to be a soccer star, or at least I thought I was. Now, I’m just a broker trying to make sense of the real estate jungle. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life in Queenstown-Estate. Can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow!
