Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a Banderillero in Bistrica-ob-Sotli is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit up the local café on Trg svobode. Best coffee in town, no cap. I grab my usual – a double espresso, strong enough to wake the dead. I’m sittin’ there, mindin’ my biz, when I see this dude, right? He’s tryin’ to impress some girl, but he spills his drink all over himself. Classic! I’m laughin’ so hard, I almost choke on my croissant. Then, I head over to the bullring. It’s on the outskirts, near the river, you know? The vibe is electric. Fans are pumped, and I’m feelin’ it too. But then, bam! The bull gets loose. Like, what the heck? It’s runnin’ around like it’s auditioning for a rodeo. I’m dodgin’ left and right, heart racin’. I mean, I signed up for this, but not like this! Finally, we get the bull back in line. Phew! But then, my buddy Luka trips over his own feet. He’s supposed to be my backup, but he’s down for the count. I’m like, “Dude, get it together!” But honestly, it’s kinda funny. I can’t help but laugh. After that chaos, we finally get to the main event. The crowd’s wild, shoutin’ and cheerin’. I’m pumped! I’m out there, doin’ my thing, and it feels amazing. The adrenaline’s rushin’, and I’m in the zone. But then, I see this kid in the front row. He’s got this huge ice cream cone, and he’s just staring at me. I’m thinkin’, “Bro, focus on the bull, not me!” But then, outta nowhere, the bull charges. I’m like, “Oh snap!” I dodge just in time, but the kid? He drops his ice cream. I swear, it was like slow-mo. The cone hits the ground, and the kid’s face? Priceless! I can’t help but crack up. After the show, I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. I stroll down Ulica 1. maja, high-fivin’ everyone. But then, I see this old lady. She’s tryin’ to cross the street, and cars are zoomin’ by. I’m like, “C’mon, people! Let her through!” So, I run over, help her out. She’s super grateful, and I’m feelin’ like a hero. But then, I get to the market on Ulica Kralja Tomislava. It’s packed! I’m tryin’ to grab some fresh veggies, but it’s chaos. People everywhere, and I’m just tryna get my stuff. I finally snag some tomatoes, but then this lady cuts in front of me. I’m like, “Excuse me? Rude much?” But whatever, I let it slide. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted. I flop on my couch, thinkin’ about the day. It was wild, emotional, and full of surprises. Bistrica-ob-Sotli, man, it’s got its quirks, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, yeah, that’s my day. Just another crazy, beautiful day in this little slice of heaven. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
