Man, what a day! Dobrna, you wild little town, you really threw me for a loop today. I mean, I’m just a guitar master, right? Just trying to strum my way through life, but today? Today was a whole different jam. So, I woke up in my cozy little spot on Cesta v Dobrni. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Hey, today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. I grabbed my trusty guitar, old Betsy, and headed out. I was feeling good, ready to hit up the local café, you know, the one on Trg svobode. Best coffee in town, hands down. But as I’m walking, I see this dude on the corner of Ulica 1. maja, right? He’s playing some crazy tunes on a sax. I’m like, “Dude, you’re killing it!” But then, outta nowhere, he trips over his own feet and BAM! Saxophone goes flying. I’m talking full-on slow-mo. I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, come on! Who trips while playing the sax? Anyway, I help him out, and we start chatting. Turns out, he’s from Ljubljana and just visiting. We bond over music, and I’m thinking, “This is gonna be a great day!” But then, I get a text. My buddy, Marko, is like, “Yo, the gig at the spa is off.” I’m like, “What?!” I was so pumped to play at the Dobrna Thermal Spa. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna jam while people are chillin’ in hot springs? So, I’m fuming. I mean, come on! I had my setlist ready, and now it’s just… poof! Gone. I decide to take a walk to cool off. I stroll down the beautiful paths by the Dobrna River. It’s so peaceful there, you know? The sound of the water, the trees swaying. I’m trying to find my zen, but my mind’s racing. Then, I spot this little park near the church on Ulica Kranjčeva. There’s a bunch of kids playing, and one of them has a guitar! I’m like, “No way!” I go over, and it’s this little girl, maybe 8 years old, just shredding like a mini rockstar. I’m blown away! I sit down and start jamming with her. She’s got talent, man! Suddenly, I forget about the gig. I’m just vibing, laughing, and playing. It’s like the universe was saying, “Chill, dude. Enjoy the moment.” But then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and a car just smashed into a tree on the street! I’m like, “What the heck?!” People rush over, and I’m standing there, guitar in hand, thinking, “Is this a movie or what?” Thankfully, no one was hurt, but man, the adrenaline! I’m still shaking. After that chaos, I decide to head back to the café. I need a coffee to calm my nerves. I order a cappuccino, and the barista, this cool guy named Luka, tells me about a local music festival happening next week. I’m like, “Count me in!” Finally, some good news! As I’m leaving, I bump into an old friend from high school. We start reminiscing about the good ol’ days, and I’m laughing so hard I almost spill my coffee. Dobrna, you sneaky little town, you really know how to keep things interesting. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted but happy. Sure, the day was a rollercoaster, but it reminded me why I love this place. Dobrna’s got its quirks, its surprises, and its charm. And hey, I even made a new friend and found a gig for next week. So, here I am, guitar in hand, ready to take on whatever tomorrow throws at me. Dobrna, you crazy little gem, I wouldn’t trade you for anything.
